How can I improve my acne scars less visible?

My mother will not let me use cover up, because it makes my face the worst and it breaks me out immediately. I have things to help with my acne, so I have to stop doing, but acne scars are still there. I was asking what I could to make it look better? I prefer a home remedy cuz im short on cash sein.Meine Arnt really lumpy scar or hole-ish looking, I get small patches, but now its all over my cheeks! Help!
