I’m planning on getting sedation work done this fall. I’ve heard that most insurance companies wont pay for the sedation-does anyone know how much it generally costs for the sedation itself?

IV sedation is used mostly by Oral Surgeons/ Maxillo facial surgeons that perform Wisdom teeth extractions, or other facilal surgeries. If you have private insurance at 80%-100% coverage, it may already be covered. However they willl explain your patient portion at the dental visit. Note: IT IS NOT YOUR DECISION TO CHOOSE IV SEDATION JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT TO. Only the Dr. can suggest the type of sedation you will need. Because of many factors: reactions, necessity, requirement…………it depends on the procedure. Another option that you CAN request is NITROUS OXIDE (laughing gas). In which you are conscious of the procedure, but you are mostly relaxed…however you will still be given anesthesia: (Lidocaine, Septocaine, Marcaine, Citanest, whatever the doctor chooses) Before you are given the anesthesia some TOPICAL ANESTHETIC GEL will be swabbed in the injection site, to help comfort the needle. So like I mentioned, it depends on the procedur, insurance, and requirement. You may call your Dental Insurance as well, to find out your coverage. Good Luck!!!!

I have really bad acid reflex, and I have been getting 5 to 6 hours of sleep almost every night because I have to sleep in a vertical position every night, so mabee getting this bed might make me feel more comfertable instead of using a million pillows right? Any suggestions will help

i got this queen size memory foam mattress which isn’t temperpedic. it was about $ 400 or so at overstock.com. i’ve never tried temperpedic but this one just does the job. i have a shoulder problem and had to sleep on my side or i would wake up with a terrible head ache. now i’ve been sleeping on this mattress i can sleep in any position and no headache! i’ve been sleeping much much better too.

I stay in Miami, FL does anyone know of a cheaper dentist office cause i also need to fix a chip tooth fix my cavities, and i just sensitive gum which is something else they told me they need to care I’m not sure of exactly what it was called.

I live in Philadelphia and went the other day to get a cleaning, check-up and x-rays and it was %115. But that was cause I was there before, but for first time visits, they charge $ 200. aND SOMETIMES THERE ARE COUPONS FOR DIFFERENT DENTIST OFFICES. ….

Usually it’s between $ 300-$ 600 per tooth. If it is performed for structural reasons your insurance may help take care of it.

First, it depends on the State you reside or where the position is located. In some States, such as Rhode Island, an employer MAY NOT drug screen a candidate for a position prior to a conditional offer of a job. That means, they essentially hire you, with the right to rescind the offer should the screening be non-negative.
That criteria aside, it depends on the job. If it is a safety sensitive job (driving a vehicle, working in a hospital, operating machinery–DOT rules are more stringent) drug screening is part of the process and use as a screening tool. It usually means that you passed the interview and are okay to that point.
If it is not a safety sensitive job, generally yes, the drug screen is the last part of the hiring process.

I’ve had a migraine for two weeks now and the pain is mostly near my eyes, but not really both sides of my head at the same time. Sometimes it feels numb, other times a sharp stabbing pain, and sometimes a dull throbbing pain. I have a history of head injuries and concussions and my mother died of a brain tumor. Because of my history, is it normal that I should have such bad headaches or should I see a doctor?

Go to the doctor and get your head examined it’s your best bet due to your history of head injuries.

I have migraines a lot lately. I usually take Imitrex. I hate the rapid heart symptom. Is there anything else?
