Teachers: Is this appropriate?
3Question : Teachers: Is this appropriate?
For all you teachers out there, I’m just wondering. If your student was anorexic or had another eating disorder and was in the hospital or a recovery center, would you visit them?
I mean, if it was like a star student, and then they got really thin and eventually checked into a hospital or something, would you go visit them personally or send a card or anything?
Or would that be too personal for you, and you would rather just let them be?

I have had anorexic students and I did not visit them. The most I would do would be to send an “I’m thinking of you” card.
The student is undergoing intensive psychological and medical intervention. Stay out of it.

Send a card. A visit is way too personal. Unless you guys are like buddies off of campus.
