Simon Pegg Talks About Run Fat Boy Run and more
0David Schwimmer’s first film
“Run Fat Boy” was released as the U.S. lead and star Simon Pegg about his film.
Q: How did you convince David to come to this project both as a writer and as the star? Does he just send the script and ask?
Simon Pegg: Well, I got the call, and I read it again and I thought: “How it will work as a British film set?” Because it is very much the spirit of New York had in it. He had the New York Marathon, he was sure New York and I is a kind of resistance at first. I was like, “Well, we can not come here and they shoot I play an American? Die (manufacturing) companies are all the documents on the shooting in London and, of course, we want to keep our film industry and to ensure that the work of our teams, because they brilliantly and art then j ‘I thought: “Well, okay, so it’s a challenge. It’s hard work. “It was easier than I thought it was because I was in London and New York have a similar sensitivity to believe. I think they have more in common than any other to say, New York and Los Angeles in terms of meaning metropolitan place, so it was fair to take the case as a challenge and I always like a challenge.

Q: Has anyone worried about David tries to lead a British American Comedy?
Pegg: No, not at all. What he has directed a comedy in the United Kingdom to do. It was not direct a Bollywood film, you know? The cultural divide was not as great, and it’s very funny and accomplished director.
Q: Did you actually create a marathon for this thing?
Pegg: Yes, we were attached to all sorts of nonsense. The London Marathon is sponsored by a company and margarine, the device is connected with another film, so that the rights to this event we could not, so we have an event that we, with the help a type of large sports clothing company I invent. This River Run, which is not really if we turned in principle, with approximately two hundred fifty people and the magic of mass replication, you could do, digital, made her look like a marathon.
Q, which was very low budget, and I remember hearing stories about how you and Edgar “Shaun” and “Hot Fuzz” expect less money than most. Do you have any advice for David in what he wanted to make this movie without much money?
Pegg: He had his thing. I am very conscious when in a project, the work does not necessarily sell – I mean in terms of writing and the creative level has something to say if this is possible – but because the bag still directorially Edgar Edgar and is completely his own thing. I never dreamed taken a blow because he is always in his head. My relationship with a director is always pretty hands off.
Q Have you been instructed to ensure that Dylan Moran on board as your friend?
Pegg: Yeah, I mean Dylan came and I proposed, and the Great Dylan. It is a kind of wonderful quality hirsute who got exactly what it was all over Gordon. In “Shaun of the Dead”, plays a very prudish, I mean, we had to cut her hair and everything he hated, but Gordon is much closer to the real Dylan is in some respects. I like working with Dylan. It is a very generous kind of sensitive type, who is also incredibly funny, a brilliant mind, as often as he wants to bring a little something, a suggestion if you’re lucky enough to get it.
Q: Did they throw his ass to make sure it would be fun?
Pegg: Not after the first, he said, “I’ve never had my ass again.” Because he was sixty feet wide on the screen.
Q Well, that one of the funniest jokes of the film is running.
Pegg: Well, that was the end. It was a strange thing. We have the first cut of the film and was like, like this sporting metaphor takes over, the film is so funny and is always fighting, and more serious in a sense, I think. We feel that at some point in the movie if there were no others laugh cough pertussis very big and we thought: “How can you leave the audience with a high level, they can leave the Film is not warm and fuzzy, but still always laughing? “And we talked about margins in the credits, which I’m really against it because I think it’s the wrong kind of laughter. Very few people care less about these things because they are funny for another reason, but the worst thing you can do is a film and what is more when people forget their laugh lines.
Q It’s funny you mention that because it was a series of bad comedies this year, when everyone left, then the bloopers at will, and everyone hears and feels they need to stay because she wants to know funny.
Pegg: For me, I think it’s a bit like an imposter. Perhaps blooper secreted among credit is good, but actually use it as a way to get more laughs I think it is cheating. I do not know who wrote the book of rules, we had a big old cry, and we’re breaking the head, and I thought: “Now we will not dwell on this point, Let’s Get ass Dylan out and somehow a Call me at the line where he stand up and do the show, and type of work.
