Do You Know Running is the Surefiew way to Lose Weight?

0

Running is one of the best ways to burn calories and a person can burn up to 275 calories per mile. This can add up to up to over 1000 calories burned per hour! Therefore, running to lose weight can be a great way to get back in shape. As a matter of fact, running burns more calories than any other exercise except for cross country skiing.

Not only does running work fabulously for weight loss, it also has many health benefits as well. It has been scientifically proven that by adding running or jogging to your daily work out regimen has anti-aging benefits and prevents a lot of the bone and muscle deterioration that happens with age. Since our bones grow weaker over the years, sedentary lifestyles can cause them to become brittle, but running to lose weight helps keep our bones strong, even in our older years.

Don’t forget about healthy diet!

If you are running to lose weight, you will need to burn more calories than you consume. You should also stick to a healthy eating plan that is full of complex carbohydrates, fruits, vegetables and lean proteins. Of course, you will need to eat enough calories to give you the energy to run, so this is not the time to start a calorie restrictive diet. But, if you eat a balance, healthy diet, you will be able to lose weight effectively.

Starting out slowly is the key to your successful weight-loss program.

Running to lose weight does not have to be difficult either. By starting off slowly and increasing your distance and speed over a period of time, you can safely start a running or jogging routine without a big risk of injuring yourself. You may want to start out slowly on a treadmill until you become comfortable enough with your technique to begin running on a track on an outside area.

Don’t worry if you gain weight at the beginning.

It is important to remember that you may actually gain weight when you first start running to lose weight. This is completely normal, so there is no need for concern. Running will cause your body to build lean muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat, so it may make the scales go up in numbers. However, you will notice that your body will start to tighten and, even though you have gained weight, you will notice that your clothes will start fitting looser than before.

By starting out slowly, perfecting your technique, and increasing your distance and speed over time, you can drastically reduce your risk of injury. Once you have conditioned your body enough, start running at a faster speed. The faster you run, the quicker you will burn fat and lose weight. Do not forget to eat right when you are running to lose weight. Food is energy, so it is imperative that you eat enough calories to sustain your exercise program. Lastly, do not forget to have fun. It may take a little time to get your routine down, but stick with it and you can lose weight, get healthy and have fun!
