But with only two, the metal support members are sagging. Can I buy more of these metal pieces? What are they called? Thanks.

I don’t know where you can get them, but a very good substitute is a worm type hose clamp. They come in different sizes and you probably need 2″. Just be sure and tighten them down good, then jump on the bed and re tighten. Works great!
