To Puppy Food (or cat food) or non Puppy Dog (or cat food) – This is the question

“Why do some pet food puppy (or cat food) and not others? Should I give my new puppy – puppy food? “

Before answering this question – do I need to share a little food for pets history. Back in the early days of pet food business, veterinarians noticed that when the pups have the same commercial feed the dog ate fed adults – they do not grow and develop as they should. At that time, food for dogs and cats contains very little commercial quality meat – protein derived mainly from food containing grains. It was found that puppies and kittens need more of a food protein to develop properly. This change was important, but the bad news is that the protein was not required to come from meat sources and more – came from bad sources in grain quality. The new requirements, a higher percentage of protein in a food growing – food puppy or kitten food – there was no indication of where the protein is (still true today, was required).

Today AAFCO has established standards for puppy food to a minimum of 22% protein (food for adult dogs at least 18% protein), standards for protein kitten should be at least 30% ( Adult cats are very little protein 26%). Besides some other minor differences – the amount of protein is the only difference between an adult dog food or cat food, a adult, puppy or kitten food to food.

So to answer the question above – you can feed a puppy or kitten food, but do not have if you are breast-feeding good food! Remember, other proteins to a percentage, there are no significant differences in an adult animal food puppy or kitten.

Several lines of pet food have protein above the minimum requirements for puppies and kittens. Some manufacturers of feed have found in their research that 18% protein for adult dogs and 26% protein for adult cats is not optimal – to formulate their foods with higher content protein than the minimum required. In other words – many adult foods meet the same nutritional needs for puppies and kittens, even if not specifically designated as a puppy food or cat food. For example … ABC Chicken & Rice Puppy food has a protein content of 23% and ABC Chicken Kitten food has a protein content of 32% – but the XYZ Dog Food Chicken & Rice has a protein content of 25% XYZ chicken and cat food as protein content of 35%. Both brands and trademarks ABC XYZ meet the protein needed to feed puppy or kitten and adult cat and dog food for adults. For example, a dog owner or owners of the kitten feeding her baby feed XYZ – although not specifically labeled for puppies or kittens.

Before going any further – I should mention a bit of canned food. ALL canned or pouch pet food (wet food contains a) at least 70% to 85% humidity. percentages of protein in canned food for pets range from 7% to 11% – well below the minimum requirements for dogs and adult cats and kittens and puppies. Pet owners do not want only food in boxes or bags, food for adult dogs and cats or puppies and kittens. You can not supply required. If you want processed canned foods, is a quality dry food. Perhaps soft kibble for breakfast and dinner.

Food OK, back to puppies and kittens … a frequently asked question I hear about this … “It’s good for my older dog (or cat) to eat a food that has such a high protein? Many pet owners – after hearing my explanation of puppies and kittens will be food on the feeding of an adult dog or cat a pet food that has a higher percentage of protein. The best way I can just these concerns in some parts of the expression of many experts, food for pets. Like a dog or cat goes to a puppy or kitten, a young adult, middle aged adults, a big blow – their bodies are constantly producing new cells, new fabrics and new muscles – all process of protein feeds. Thus, the company continued source of high quality proteins throughout the life cycle needs. (There are exceptions for older animals and animals suffering from diseases – this debate is only for healthy animals – ask your vet if you have any questions.) Science – not speculation – has found that Dog has more protein content of young and adult cats and animals. I have several dogs and cats in the report Petsumer that the protein content higher than 50% rated! I am not convinced that 50% of protein in food dog or cat food is ideal for pets (more than a working dog – for example, is a working dog behind a herd of cattle) – the fact is that the high level of protein for pets because the outside, and not all of them must be characterized as a puppy food or kitten food.

The only thing that most owners of pets to choose a puppy or kitten food marketing. The television ads, the adorable puppies and kittens show indication of such food for specific needs, “or” specially designed “or” Extra Nutrition “or” developed to meet higher energy needs, “and so pet owners have fixed beliefs that attracted their puppy or kitten has a puppy or kitten should eat food. The pretty face with the tag lines carefully studied – have contributed to increased food for puppies and kittens, food business operators in a phenomenal number. Part of the marketing strategy is to obtain for puppy owners in a certain emotional attachment to food manufacturers with a puppy or kitten dependence. If you begin with ABC puppy food – Target marketing for you to stay loyal to that company later, ABC with food adult dog. Manufacturers of pet food have been so successful at this marketing technique – some manufacturers, that the pursuit of quality food for pets to do (no specific puppy or kitten food) were forced to leave their food in a package format puppy or kitten.

I do not say that puppies and kittens are the foods bad foods – it is still on the ingredients in foods for pets. What I mean is that it is not necessary to feed a puppy or kitten or puppy food specific kitten food. While some with a quality food for pets that the protein they need – you’re just in sections.

Always, always, always – consult your veterinarian.

And a few quick information – I wish I could tell you that if you find a good puppy or kitten food, quality ingredients human grade U.S., and added bonuses such as health or chelating proteinated minerals and probiotics – that you respect the same manufacturer for your food and treats for adults … but this is not always the case. In fact, the opposite. In the view of many lines of pet food and pet treats from a manufacturer to report Petsumer I found that many food manufacturers for pet animals, some of the human quality quality ingredients, and their animals are treated near the junk to do. While others may have one or two varieties of feed that are good and have several varieties that I do not recommend feeding a pet owner. It just is not as simple as that. You must look at the ingredients, ask questions, and the view of the guaranteed analysis, and best before date on everything.

I wish you and your pet the best.

“Why have some pet puppy food (or cat food) and others not? Should not I give, my new puppy – puppy food?”

Before I answer this question – do I need to share a little pet food story. Back in the early days of commercial pet food, veterinarians noticed that when puppies were the same commercial food that the adult dog ate fed – they do not grow and thrive as they should. At that time, commercial dog food and cat food containing very little meat quality – the protein came mostly from the diet contained grains. It was found that puppies and kittens need a higher protein diet to develop properly. This change was important, but the bad news is that the protein was not required to come from meat sources – most came from poor quality grain sources. The new requirements are only a higher percentage of protein for a growing food – a puppy food or kitten food – there was no indication of where the protein is (still holds true today, was required).

Today AAFCO has set standards for food puppy to a minimum of 22% protein (Adult dog food at least 18% protein), standards for kitten must be at least 30% protein (adult cats are minimally 26% protein). Besides a few other very minor differences – the amount of protein is the only difference between an adult dog food or cat food, a adult, a puppy or kitten food to food.

So, to answer the above question – you can feed a puppy or kitten food, but not to have if you are feeding the right food! Remember, protein other than a percentage, there are no significant differences in an adult pet kitten or puppy food.

Many pet food lines have protein ratio above the minimum requirements for puppies and kittens. Some pet food formulators have found in their research that 18% protein for adult dogs and 26% protein for adult cats is not optimal – so that they formulate their foods with a higher protein content than the minimum required. In other words – many adult foods meet the same nutritional needs for puppies and kittens, although they are not specifically designated as a puppy food or cat food. As an example … ABC Chicken & Rice Puppy Food has a protein content of 23% and ABC Chicken Kitten Food has a protein content of 32% – but XYZ Chicken & Rice dog food has a protein content of 25% and XYZ Chicken Cat Food as a protein content of 35%. Both brands ABC and XYZ brands meet the required protein content for puppy or kitten food and adult dog and cat food for adults. For example, a puppy owner or owners of the kitten’s feeding her new baby of the XYZ Pet Food – although not specifically labeled for puppies or kittens.

Before I go further – I have to mention a little of canned pet food. ANY canned or pouch pet food (wet food contains a) at least 70% to 85% moisture. Protein percentages in canned pet foods vary from 7% to 11% – far below the minimum requirements for adult dogs and cats, like kittens and puppies. Pet owners do not just want food in cans or bags, food for adult dogs and cats or puppies and kittens. You just do not have the necessary nutrition. If you want a canned food processing, it is a quality dry food. Perhaps soft kibble for breakfast and dinner.

OK, back to puppies and kittens food food … a frequently asked question I hear on this subject is … “Is it ok for my adult dog (or cat) to eat, a food that has such a high protein content?” Many pet owners – after hearing my explanation of puppies and kittens food food will be about feeding an adult dog or cat a pet food that has a higher percentage of that protein. The best way I can just these concerns from parts of the words of many experts, pet food. Like a dog or cat goes from a puppy or kitten, a young adult, a mature adult, a big shot – their bodies are constantly producing new cells, new fabrics and new muscle – the whole process feeds on protein. So the pet continued high quality source of protein throughout the entire life cycle must. (There are exceptions for older animals and pets with diseases – this discussion is only for healthy animals – ask your veterinarian if you have questions.) Science – not speculation – has found that a higher protein content benefits young dogs and cats as well as adult animals. I have several dogs and cats in Petsumer report that has protein content as high as 50% rated! I am not so confident that 50% of protein in a dog food or cat food is ideal for pets (more for a working dog – example is a working Cattle Dog tends a flock) – the point is that higher protein level for pets is because outside, and not all of them are to be characterized as a puppy food or kitten food.

The thing that most pet owners choose a puppy or kitten food food does is marketing. The television commercials, the adorable puppies and kittens show indication of such food ‘, meeting the specific needs, “or” specially formulated “or” Extra Nutrition’ or ‘developed to meet the higher energy needs, “and so on pet owners have fixed beliefs lured that their puppy or kitten has a puppy or kitten has to eat food. The cute faces along with the expertly researched tag lines – have helped increase the puppy and kitten food, food business operators in phenomenal numbers. Part of the marketing strategy is to get to puppy owners in a certain emotional attachment to the manufacturers by a puppy or kitten food addictive. If you start with ABC puppy food – Target’s marketing for you to stay loyal to that company later with ABC Adult dog food. The pet food manufacturers have been so successful at this marketing technique – some manufacturers, that the continuation of quality pet food to make (no specific puppy food or kitten) were forced to leave their food in a puppy or kitten package format.

I am not saying that puppies and kittens foods are bad foods – it is still out on, ingredients in pet food. What I am saying is that it is not necessary to feed a puppy or a specific puppy food or kitten food kitten. As long as one them with a quality pet food that the protein they need – you are just in the sections.

Always, always, always – consult your veterinarian.

And one more bit of information quickly – I wish I could tell you that if you find a good puppy food or cat food, with quality human grade U.S. ingredients, and added health bonuses such as chelation or proteinated minerals and probiotics – that you stick with the same manufacturer for your adult food and treats … but that is not always the case. Actually it is exactly the opposite. From the review of many lines of pet food and pet treats from a manufacturer for Petsumer report I’ve found that many manufacturers pet food for pets, some of which have quality human grade ingredients, and then their pets are treated close to junk food to make. While others may have one or two varieties of pet food that are good, and have several varieties that I would never recommend to feed a pet owner. It’s just not that simple. You have to look at the ingredients, ask questions, and view of the guaranteed analysis, and best before date on everything.

I wish you and your pet the best.

My new puppy is 2 mos old and had a seizure, What do you think happened b/c he already had his distemper shot?

I took him to the Animal ER and they gave him Metacam and Penicillin. The next morning we took him his Vet and they prescribed him clavamox tab. He is doing well and is still playful but I am horrified to see him have a seizure again. The vets don’t know exactly what it is and right now they are not ready to do a test. They want to see what happens next b/c he already had his shots and it may not be anything.

Shed in my Shiba Inu puppy and refused to pee outside?

1

I bought a Shiba Inu puppy male one and half months, now he is 3 and half months. I was brushing him with a wire brush, when suddenly the scales came out all over! Including the head. I was scared to death. . . ahaha just kidding. However, I never saw him before, I bathed only dry-cleaning powder, no water needed. Before the powder massage to him, I use this wet cloth on his body, the wet tissue should be used only for the dog, but I’m not sure how it is produced in China. (I’m in Shanghai, China now). The thing is, I wanted to know, this is normal for puppies, so to develop something in the winter? Now is the winter here in Shanghai.Ist it an allergy? Does anyone have any experience with Shiba and allergies? I’m thinking maybe food allergy? Cos it is impossible to get flea allergy in winter? I took him to a vet and he said it’s not an allergy, it’s just dandruff. But like most here, veterinarian, I can not believe it is% 100th He does not have a blood test or what part However, he only saw his skin and claimed, sheds no Allergie. Also then he gave my Shiba his first bath today, the much-act drama of my shiba, he stopped at the pee on the guy , who bathed his Shiba scream and cry until the guy does not take place, it can no longer and asked me to stay near my Shiba. What I did, and kept my Shiba suddenly very sweet, his mouth and lay there as if he did not throw a crazy fit a Minute.Nach the bathroom, I checked my Shiba very carefully, and I found almost none shed . How does this happen? Where can shed be removed in just a shower? Will he come back? I ask this stupid questions, because believe it or not, I have never in my life scales, I know, I mean, I do not know myself why this geschieht.Und if anyone has experience with allergies in dogs, which is the symptom? Another thing is, one and half months ago, I said to my Shiba pee and feces in the toilet in the newspaper. I told him only once, and he went there to pee and poop automatically surprised me and took down my jaw. Well, if I did not short out there in the morning after he tried to wake up, he refuses to pee and poop outside, even if I brought the newspaper and put it on the grass. I waited for three hours and he still refuses to do it outside. When I brought him back home, he immediately went to the toilet and has his business. What should I do? Thank you for the answers! Maeughhh. . . I forgot to say that I live in an apartment and in the 9th Floor. . . . and my Shiba just poop and pee in the paper in the toilet and toilet and nowhere else. Its just that I wanted him to do it outside, instead of the toilet. I make a special area for him in the toilet when he pees and pooping area, he has to pee or poop never elsewhere. I know I should be satisfied, but I think peeing and pooping outside is better and of course for him?
