A Diskus inhaler is an easy to use dry-powder inhaler that delivers medication in a convenient and simple way. Using a Diskus Inhaler: 1. Hold your Diskus inhaler in the palm of your hand and place your thumb on the thumb grip and slide your thumb away from you until you hear a click and the mouthpiece appears. 2. Slide the lever away from you as far as it will go. This will ready a dose of your medication. Every time you push this lever back, you will ready another dose of medication to be taken. 3. Exhale, but make sure you face away from the inhaler while breathing out 4. Now bring your lips to the mouthpiece and inhale quickly and deeply. Do not breathe through your nose. 5. Remove the inhaler from your lips, but continue holding your breath for another 10 seconds. Now breathe out slowly. 6. Make sure you close the diskus inhaler by sliding your thumb back towards you.
