Question : Can being prescribed a steroidal inhaler for a sinus infection be a disqualifier for the Military?
I had a really bad sinus infection and was prescribed a steroidal inhaler. Can being prescribed an inhaler be an automatic DQ? I dont think so, but I just want to put some worries to rest. I’ve been really touchy about my medical history due to pediatric asthma from the age of five to eight (well before the cut off age of 12) I’m kind of a neurotic, but I just want to be sure.

If you were over weight but have bipolar have you ever had a dr. give you a weight loss medication in combination with your bipolar meds? Does it work? Would it be bad side effects?

I take Wellbutrin. It addresses both problems quite nicely.

Question : Why the statins (simvastatin and other lypodecreasing drugs) are prescribed to be taken before bed time?
I mean why is it better to take statins before bedtime (at evening) than at morning. F.e. the h2-blockers are taken at evening because more hystamin is secreted at night so the effect of the drug will be better. So what effect of the statins will be better if they r taken at night?

Other factors include once a day doses that might or do cause drowsiness to be taken at night, or drugs that react with foods to be taken when one is not going to be eating, such as bed time.

I woke up with a headache and I’m taking prescribed antihistamines and prescribed nasal spray for allergies, will taking any type of headache medicine have a negative effect on me. I’m not sure if I should take something or not. Any thoughts?

There is no drug interaction between the antihistamines and ibuprofen. It is, indeed, safe to take them together.

But some other medicine I took 3 times the amount and had seizure, vomited, and some do gooders called ambulance. They never found out what medicine I took. I sometimes take ten times amount of asthma medicine so I can breath.
It was a waste of time going to the ER because they didnt find out anything or make me better.

because you’ve built up a tolerance,your body is used to it.just be aware that you’re going to have to keep increasing the dose,just like people get addicted to pain meds.they stop working at the prescribed dose and they keep upping the dose.
if i were you i’d tell your doctor,maybe theres something similar thats stronger,i’m sure he knows how to adjust dosage and he may just say what you’re doing is fine.
