How do porcelain dental crowns look on molars?
0Question : How do porcelain dental crowns look on molars?
I got my porcelain crown for a molar and it feels okay, but it looks much bigger and wider than my other molars. Is this okay???? it almost looks like its making my gum recede a little because its very wide and big from the inside of my mouth.
i told my doctor this and he said that my gums will cover the crown later as i have it on!!

It was probably made a bit larger and contoured different than your original tooth was. You will get used to that in several days. As to the gum recession, keep an eye on it to see how it responds. Also make sure that the tooth isn’t sensitive along the gum line. Good luck.

Should I bleach my teeth before getting porcelain veneers?
2Question : Should I bleach my teeth before getting porcelain veneers?
I am only getting 2 porcelain veneers next to my two front teeth and my dentist has given me the option to bleach my teeth first, so that my teeth (with the veneers) will be whiter. Personally, I love the idea, but he said that veneers won’t bleach or change color. So what if I bleach my teeth first and my teeth go back to the original color(or maybe it doesn’t do that?). Then my veneers will be a lighter color than my actual teeth right? Oh my goodness, I am so confused. Please help me!

Your dentist should have caught this at the beginning I’ve personally had my bite adjusted where they filed down crowns a little but I don’t think as much as you are talking about. Go back to the dentist and tell them it’s bothering you and ask them to make it even. You paid for it, they owe you a service.

how exactly do porcelain veneers work when it comes to chewing food?
0Question : how exactly do porcelain veneers work when it comes to chewing food?
since a patient can choose to have their porcelain veneers to be longer than their own teeth, won’t this cause a problem with the chewing surfaces of their teeth if the veneer is taller than their actual tooth?

Before the veneer is put on, the tooth is prepped to remove natural tooth structure. The porcelain veneer replaces that lost tooth structure so that actually, the tooth is the exact same size as when it started.
Are cerac crowns good for molar teeth compared to porcelain fused to gold?
2Question : Are cerac crowns good for molar teeth compared to porcelain fused to gold?
Which one is stronger and better for molar teeth? Cerac crowns or porcelain fused to gold?

I assume a Cerac crown is a full porcelain crown. Since you put a lot of pressure on the back teeth, a porcelain fused to metal crown is a better crown to go with. You don’t see the metal at all since it is covered by the porcelain.

you can eat normal foods, after the permanent ones are put in, i think that the bulk and the discomfort of what you have now is the fact that they are not made to fit your mouth but everyones…its not custom made yet. the real ones should feel much better, but dont be afraid to tell your dentist if its very uncomfortable right away. you are the one living with them. you should feel comfortable.
Good Luck!
