Try listing them on www.craigslist.com It’s a great place to sell things. You’ll need to pick the largest city near your home and then the correct category… it is pretty easy to use. Good luck.

Question : danger to self and no insurance near San Antonio?
I have a history of mental illness including major depression, OCD, and an eating disorder. I started self injuring as an adolescent and have attempted suicide as recently as last month. The reason I’m alive right now and not killed by my eating disorder is that I recieved a treatment scholarship just in time and got my physical health back last year. I’m out now, on social security, not able to hold onto a job, and not yet on medicare. I’m floundering. I spend most of my time in bed and I’m so miserable, I don’t know what to do. I’m not homeless so I don’t qualifiy for the only group home I know of in San Antonio for people like me, and without the medicare, I can’t go to the hospital. Does anybody know of somewhere I can go. I’m not safe at home. I already recieve medication from a mental health clinic for my county but I’m struggling anyway.

Question : What is the best place to go for eating disorder treatment near Tampa?
If you’ve struggled with an ED and had a positive treatment experience, please tell me about it. I’ve been looking at Fairwinds in Clearwater and Turning Point of Tampa. Anyone been to either of these? Or do you suggest someplace else? Thank you.

i’m honestly not sure, sorry, but i think there is a renfrew center in florida…i really don’t know much about their program though. i have been in ED treatment for the past year and a half, and have been struggling for over 10 years with anorexia/bulimia (technically EDNOS)…it’s hard as hell but it does help if you’re ready for it. i wasn’t ready for it when i went into residential treatment (i was there 3 months), but a lot of girls i was there with (i was at laureate in tulsa, OK….it’s a wonderful program) have recovered, which i think is amazing. i also did programming locally in my city and have seen a lot of girls/guys there recover as well….you basically spend a lot of time talking about your feelings and learning how to cope…but you also play games and make great friends. and, of course, you have to eat meals/snacks with staff and other patients, to make sure you’re eating and keeping it down. depending on your weight/vital signs and willingness, they will determine whether or not you need a feeding tube (i was on a feeding tube for about 2 1/2 months…not counting my time in the hospital).

anyway…i’m still struggling a lot today, but if you have any questions about ed treatment feel free to friend me or message me! and i am firmly PRO-recovery, although i am by no means close to that yet. so yeah. ummm i think that’s about it! i would be happy to do what i can to help if you want, let me know!!!
