need to replace mattress for my craftmatic bed but want one that will still bend with the positions yet have the same advantages of the sleep member or temperpedic type mattress. Anyone have an idea or same problem?

They have air mattresses and other different types of mattresses for hospital beds that are meant to help prevent skin breakdown. One of those would probably be softer. I would call a medical supply company (possibly the one where you got the bed from?)

My parents are elderly with chronic back problems. I no at one time adjustable bedframes could be approved through insurance or medicare/medicaid. Is this still the case? If so- what are the conditions that it would be approved for? Thank you.

Don’t let a mattress salesman tell you that any coil mattress will work, because they won’t. There are about 600 mattress manufacturers so it depends on what part of the country you are in. If you are using a reputable mattress store they can call their suppliers to find out which ones carry a mattress designed to work on an adjustable frame even if they do not display them in the store.
