Question : Is it too soon to open up to my new boyfriend about my issues?
Just over 2 week ago, i started going out with a guy that i have known for almost a year.

The thing is that i am going through a rough time in my life at the moment… but i don’t want him to think i am completely crazy, so i don’t talk to him about these things.

BUT.. the problem is that in about 2 months, i am planning to go into an inpatient hospital eating disorder program for my Bulimia… and there is NO way that i could NOT tell him about it!. I mean, he will notice if i’m suddenly never around.

He seems like an understanding guy.
Like, if i have a facebook status that suggests that i’m down, he will call/txt me to make sure im okay.

What should i do?
- Tell him?
- Break up with him?

Please help me…

your afraid of him leaving… you dont want to hold on to something or someone you have to force to love you. Tell him and if he doesnt stay, it was an unhealthy relationship anyhow. If he does, tell him thank you.

Question : What type of doctor should I see for asthma/respiratory issues?
My child has had a cough for months that hasn’t responded to antibiotics, steroids, or allergy meds. I don’t believe my family practitioner is providing appropriate care and would like to see a specialist but I’m not sure what type to contact. Do I need an interal medicine doc or a pediatric allergist or…??? The FP is beginning to suspect asthma at this point but my child is not wheezing or having difficulty w/physical activity or any of the other asthma symptoms, just a chronic cough.
To add more details, I don’t need referals, can see any doc I like who accepts my insurance. Even though he’s not responding to prednisone, singular & claritin, FP said keep treating & come back in Oct (coughing since June 1) for recheck. It’s gotten worse in last 2 wks even w/meds. With school starting I believe more aggressive evaluation & treatment is in order!

See an allergist doc first..they should be able to handle asthma or even refer you to a pulmonary doctor *lungs*

If you’re insurance is HMO, you will need a refferal from your PCP
but it you have PPO you just need to fina an allergist or pulmoary who accepts your insurance

A relative was the victim of elderly abuse and was removed from the situation but is not of presence of mind to care for themselves so are in a residential care facility. But they don’t want to be there. They want to be back in the place where there could be more potential for harm. What do you do when a relative fights you and won’t believe that you have their best interests at heart. Does anyone have any personal insight, legal advice or practical advice?

I went through a similar situation with my grandmother… after 5 years of taking care of her, she became more than I could handle and required around the clock attention at a facility with other people. She preferred to be in her own place with family members. After a few months, she started enjoying the other peoples company and the activities that were offered. Whether your relative is able to stay in a home situation or not, I would ask neighbors or relatives for references for the caregiver or the center they are being sent into, so you don’t end up in this situation again. Unfortunately, other relatives were sent to certain places were they were left malnourished, constantly unattended and ignored. The only other option is to move them to your place if you are able to provide the adequate care or hire someone to do so in your home. It is never an easy decision any way you decide to go…

I just turned 13, I’m 5’5″, and I weigh 95 pounds. I hate my body. I feel fat, and I especially hate my thighs, butt, and stomach. I try to lose weight, exercise (tennis, soccer, basketball, gym class three days a week, crunches and sit-ups at home) and go on diets where I only eat salads and whole- grain toast. I just learned that my friend who supposedly had “mono” actually had anorexia and was at an eating disorder clinic in Arizona. I’m worried that I might develop an eating disorder but at the same time it would make me skinny. I don’t want to discuss this with my parents, doctor, or anyone for that matter. Please help and give advice!
I sometimes try to not eat for days at a time and I suck in my stomach when I wear tight clothing. What’s up with that?
