I would say nurses assistant, work in a nursing home, work as a teachers aide, in a hospital working with patients, I think the list could go on and on.

Question : Interested in signing up for the Medical Assistant Program?
I am going Monday to sign up for the Medical Assistant Program. I am just wondering if anyone would be willing to share their thoughts on it. Maybe other people working as a Medical Assistant. I am curious to know if you are happy with the pay, the duties, etc? Was it worth it? I am very interested in working with infants. Thanks everyone!

Well congrats on getting into something that’s going to offer you great job security. The medical field will always be in high demand, and depending on where you end up working, the pay can be really good. I think what you’ll be doing is well worth it, and you’re going to find yourself satisfied with your life.

The medical field is so vast in itself that I’m finding it very difficult as to what I want to specialize in once I get my Masters in nursing, but I’ve narrowed it down to three: A nurse anesthetist (the nurse who administers anesthesia and monitors patients in surgery), to work in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), or a wound nurse- those who assist in treating wounds that won’t heal in diabetics and other ailments.

I’m not working as a medical assistant, but I’ve heard of the duties..and the list is long. When you sign up for the school maybe ask for a brochure on the field or do your own research on the internet. But I will warn you, the classes are very difficult depending on the school. I had a friend go through medical assistant training, and she went through a lot of frustration and struggles just to pass the course. But everyone is different and maybe you’ll breeze right through it. I also think with you wanting to work with infants is so wonderful..you must love those little ones :)

I am thinking about majoring in child psychology but was wondering if there was any good books kind of teaching or learning about it. (im not sure if that makes sense?) I just want to make sure that i am actually interested in child psychology.

I’ve never heard of any undergraduate degrees in child psychology.
There are psychology programs, and programs in human development. To specialize in child psychology, you will need to go to graduate school after you get your BA/BS.

My fiance and are entrepreneurs. I quit my job with corporate america because of the toll it was taking on my health and because I was tired of corporate bondage. We have researched and found a few multi-level marketing prorgrams that could be very lucrative if we can just find the right people to share it with. Most people are quick to categorize all multi-level marketing ventures as “pyramid schemes”– sheme in this term is short for schematics, but it it has a negative connotation when used in conjunction with “pyramid”. But our own system of capitalism is built on a “pyramid schematic”– henceforth, the pyramid on the dollar bill. It’s just that in corporate america, the common workers make up the bottom level of the structure and the big people at the top profit big time. There are many multi-level marketing projects that follow the same principles, but give YOU and ME, the opportunity to become financially independent. Where are the people who understand that this is real??

I have BED, and am scared it is developing into bulimia. I can’t afford formal therapy, nor do i really have time for it. Health is important to me, and i don’t want this disorder to ruin my life, or affect my social life, work life, or school. Can anyone offer help or advice? Self-help hotlines, references, or anything cheap/free would be especially helpful.

I live in Michigan and there is only one school here that I know offers this program. I do not know of any other schools here that offer Dental Technician program. And I just wanted to know is this field going to be in demand for the future?

I want to start a non-profit food addiction tx center in the Pacific NW. I will need counselors, drivers, dieticians, cooks, nurses, doctors, nurses aides, psych techs, housekeepers, office staff, fund raisers, grant writers and more. I would prefer people with addiction training, psych training and or personal addiction/ed experience. Contact me through my profile. I am very serious. I am thinking that I am on a 10 year plan for this, beginning w an outpt. intensive prgm and working up to a full service hospital that can treat comorbitities but if a good board can be assembled right away and a grant written that scores…then wherever God wills and whenever!

I have / had prostate cancer and had a radical prostatectomy. I now have urinary incontinence and am looking for something better than diapers. I see a system that can be ported to a urine storage bag and penis clamps. Any suggestions?
