Question : If I’m already diabetic, would I have to take the 1 hour glucose test?
I am not on meds but I diet and exercise to keep my diabetes under control. I’d really hate to put all that sugar in my system if I don’t have to. Couldn’t they do a fasting test instead?

I’m concerned because I tried it today and I felt awesome all day. I don’t want to continue it if it’s unhealthy, but it got rid of all those nasty allergy symptoms.

It’s the alarm that comes as a pendant or brooch and if there is a medical emergency she can press it and it goes through to a 24 hour care line….Can’t find any in U.K. Really need one. The council do it, but we’ve been trying for months and still nothing has happened. So grateful if anyone out there can help us!

have you tried contacting your local social services, if no joy there as your family gp they must be able to put you in contact with somewhere that does then, even try age concern as a lot of old people have these so they really must know. I hope this helps…

I was wondering if someone could invent or had a way to monitor blood sugar all the time, maybe a sensor put in the body with minor surgery like a heart monitor or pace maker?

Currently a sensor can be placed subcutaneously – sking surface – to give continusous blood sugar readings.
