Question : what charity gives handicapped vans to people in need. My mother had a stroke, uses a wheelchair and needs van?
It is getting more and more difficult to transfer my mother into the car when I take her to the Doctor. She is paralyzed on the left side and when I lift and transfer her into the car she can not see the car seat because of the stroke and it scares her then she starts to have a panic attack which makes it harder to transfer her into the car. I must have a van with a wheelchair ramp because transferring my mother in the car is a fall risk for us both . Please Help. Judy

Some one asked me this question last week and I looked on the internet and found several sites, but I didn’t get the feeling that they would give anything. Have you checked the medicare. One other way I’ve noticed with handicapped vans is the plymouth, they have are close to the ground and have a ramp up into the van. I hope you find any answer and hope someone else gives you some answers too. Its tough. God Bless

Question : I have a question about scooters and handicapped accessible minivans in Vegas?
Does anyone know where I can rent a scooter and a handicapped accessible minivan in Las Vegas. My mom doesn’t walk well and we usually get a wheelchair for her but I think it would be easier on me if we could rent one of those motorized scooters. If anyone knows a scooter rental place and rental car place that has accessible vans, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

For scooters you should contact this company. They specialize in rentals to tourists. I think they run about $ 40 a day. You can ask them about a van rental. I am not sure about that.

My brother told me recently that he had been in a public toilet when one person in a wheelchair into the stall with disabilities use come. He did not want to insult the man, but was terribly anxious to see how it was possible to get out of the wheelchair to the toilet itself, without some crazy double-jointed left-handed bodybuilders. In addition, when I looked at the bars and the space for the handicapped stall at my work the next day I could not really figure it does not it! to help assuage our combined interest?
Does anyone know where I can have a handicapped shower bench, to find decorative and functional?

I am under my 86-year-old father to Minneapolis, MN for one of his sister to the 90th Geburtstag.Wir be to fly from Milwaukee (as is only as far as O’Hare but cheaper, about $ 10 U.S. dollars cheaper) and the choice of airlines are: not Midwest, Northwest, AirTran, Delta, American and grandfather United.Mein foot very well and uses a walker (walker). So he would have to use that at the airport and on board the aircraft carriers would verlassen.Welche most disabled people have for my grandfather? Thanks for the help!
