Question : Psychological trouble (teen girl)?
It’s about my daughter who has 13 since October. I know a good deal about psychology but experience taught me that assessments on this mater prove to be biased for cause of affective ties. So, what I found concerning in her behavior had steadily increased since the last 3 years.

I describe:

-compulsive eating disorder: anything from bread to plain sugar. She manages to eat all this unbeknown to my wife and me.
-Inclination to date with girlfriends of her age who pass as lame ducks in her school (the “big fat and frustrated no one want to date,” the very sick under heavy medical treatment, the stupid, etc.)
-Inclination to regress intellectually (video games for 5 years younger than her age or soap operas, over simplistic and badly done cartoons, stories for kids younger than her age, etc)
-Low attention span, and loose regularly her belongings regardless of their value,
-Inclination to be careless with her belongings, bedroom, and corporal cleanliness,
-Has bad notes at school, owing to recurrent slips, mainly,
-Swear she “won’t do it again/be more careful/attentive next time,” and seem to understand the wrong she did, but gets back to her bad habits within 24/48 hours,
-Is easily distracted,
-Is truly interested in nothing but chatting with her friends about futile subjects,
-Consistent laziness,
-Great naiveté (may be easily fooled),
-She often happens to be quietly thoughtful and may rest in her bed looking at the ceiling for hours,
-She has frequent bouts of depressive mood,

The positive points are:
-She doesn’t get easily into temper and is a calm person,
-Her talk and reasoning makes perfect sense during conversation and she seems to be psychologically balanced save for the problems above,
-She expresses strong and spontaneous empathy and care for others (even a bit too much) and expresses great kindness,
-She is very polite and respectful toward others in general,
-Is honest and tells the truth when asked to,
-Is talkative,

Dude..she’s a TEENAGER…isn’t that what you adults always complain about?

She’s obviously growing up and has crazy hormones coursing through her body..it’s a stage in her life. The best you can do is help her get through it, but don’t try and control every aspect in her life.
