Can rheumatoid arthritis pain follow my menstrual cycle?
1Question : Can rheumatoid arthritis pain follow my menstrual cycle?
I have rheumatoid arthritis and celiac disease. I’ve noticed the joint pain is so much worse right before my menstrual cycle. Has anyone else experienced this? I assume it’s from the changing hormone levels. I have little to no pain during the rest of the month.
My doctor says there should be no relation, but it occurs every month like clockwork. He’s referring me to a rheumatologist, but I still think there is a link here.

For a weight loss program to be effective you must have an exercise program and a diet plan:
Exercise: each morning do 30 minutes of floor exercise such as leg lifts, squats, push up, lunges, jumping jacks or whatever you wish. after a week start taking a brisk 30 minute walk each evening, after another week you can add a longer time to your walk, but do not miss a session of exercise.
Diet: three balanced meals daily, make sure you get protein from lean meat or fish, include vegetables and fruit, whole grain cereal or bread, dairy products with reduced fat. you can have a mid morning snack and a mid after noon snack. Eliminate all junk food and soda and drink a large glass of water before each meal.
stick with this and you will loose weight rapidly and tone up your body as well.
Should I follow a low GI diet?
1Question : Should I follow a low GI diet?
I’m looking to lose about 25 lbs, but usually I just achieve this by exercising and eating right or what I thought was right until I came across the Zone Diet. I like to eat corn, peas, and whole what bread, but the site told me I was doing this completely wrong! All of these items have a high glycemic index. My grandmother died of diabetes, so I am ultimately at risk for diabetes. I’m starting to wonder if I should start a low GI diet, forsaking some of my favorite fruits and vegetables forever…
Apparently it has a lot of health benefits?
I’m not a bad eater and I can control my eating habits more or less. I don’t go crazy and run 10 miles if I eat some dessert after dinner, but I don’t stuff my face with sweets either. However, the GI diet, I think would be very hard for me because I am Chinese and Chinese people eat a lot of pork and rice…
Just a note: I usually do NOT eat pork. I eat a lot of white meat (chicken/fish), but I do consume rice often.

Hmm. You should still eat your veggies and stuff cos they provide essetial nutrients which are required by your body for natural processes to occur.
I think you should stick with GI foods if you have a choice. eg. eat breads with low GI…
Not all chinese people eat lots of pork -i dont realy like pork at all …i tend to stick with beef =P.
Personally, i think the whole GI think is a bit overrated. True the sugar is released more slowly in the blood..but thats abt it…
i think you should just stick with you current diet: eat healthy foods and eat sweets/sugarry stuff sparingly …also exercise and maintain a healthy life style…you should be ok
