How much does the “fertility clinic” thing cost for the initial tests?
1Question : How much does the “fertility clinic” thing cost for the initial tests?
I have pcos. In the last 6 months, my cycle has become 38 days (give or take a couple) as compaired to 2 or 3 times per year, which gives me hope. We have been trying for over 2 years, even though we were not financially ready then.
We both have great jobs now (with really good insurance
and are in a great new apartment…it finally feels like we are really ready (although we would have done just fine 2 years ago).
Anyways, I have been thinking about making an appointment with the reproductive clinic; but fear I am going in way over my head.
We will be debt free by february…should we wait until then to look into the clinic? We live very comfortable now, and still make great progress on our debt, so it’s not like we couldn’t afford to make payments noq…but i’ve heard stories about multi-thousand dollar fertility visits, and it scares the crap outta me…i can’t afford all that up front!
What info would I need to bring with me? What am i getting myself into?

if you have very good insurance, the insurance will pay for the fertility clinic i know it did for a friend of mine. you may just have to pay a co pay if your insurance doesnt cover all cost. call your insurance company and see how much of the cost it covers or if it covers all if you dont want to be in debt again everyone says they are going to wait to have a baby they are going to save up to have a baby well those people are never going to have a baby then because they will spend the money and be with no kids. i am 22 now my husband is 20 now and we have a 5 month old daughter we struggle he works one job i stay at home its hard but we do it I SAY GO AND GET ER DONE and GOOD LUCK in what your decision is…..

My doctor defines infertility as 6 months or more of ttc without conceiving.
The blood work and ultrasound was to check for PCOS (which I actually found out that I have). You’re lucky to not have it!
There must be another reason for your infertility – which is why you’re being sent to the experts!
They will probably undertake more tests (e.g. check to see if your tubes are blocked) and your partner will undergo sperm testing to see if it’s his infertility that is the problem.
Don’t feel too daunted. It’s far better to get the ball rolling now, rather than wait 2 years and then start investigating why you aren’t pregnant.
This way you are in control. You are doing the right thing and finding out what the problem is and then you can work out how to address it.
Also, infertility is TREATABLE in most cases. It’s not permanent.
All the best
Best of luck!

In many IVF cycle, are a group of women on pill set to force everyone to the same menstrual cycle in a few days, independently of course its biorhythm. The patients can then be treated by nurses instead of doctors in fertility. Like any industry, the trick is to generate actually reduce overhead costs and more sales to IVF center because of the large amount of patients. If a clinic “to” hundreds, even thousands of cases of IVF per year, you are betting that all patients batch.
However, there are circumstances when patients should be made to the pill if she has a hormonal imbalance, or in the case of egg donation, when the menstrual cycle, an egg donor recipients the need to be synchronized. The majority of patients, dosage should be fine IVF process, but not in patients with decreased ovarian reserve end most of the time not pregnant
