I have a 16 yrs.old son. I just heard his conversation with his pal, they mentioned something about getting more “red”, and he said that he wants to quit, so I went online to check that slang of meaning “red”, and that’s why I want to get a home drug test to check him. 2Anyone has any idea where I could find more information on accupuncture points especially on Hayfever?
Yes, I would like to try on myselft.
I dont think so. I personally think simple accupuncture could be done by oneselft (the oneselft should have commonsense ). Like Hayfever, the needles are just at hands, feet, face.
You dont poke the needles in eyes. . . . if someone does it, he/she is stupid.

Get Off the Sugar Roller-coaster, Especially if You’re Dealing With Low Blood Sugar or Hypoglycemia Issues
0Whether youâre perfectly healthy (at the momentâ¦) or youâre dealing with low blood sugar or hypoglycemia issues, it’s time to start taking responsibility for your own health and stop looking for the quick fix. It’s time to stop taking the “toxic chemicals” we are all addicted to, starting with sugar.
Cutting out sugar is hard, and withdrawal can last a couple of weeks, but the well-being you can experience when you’re free of sugar is amazing!
You want to feel better and keep your low blood sugar and hypoglycemia symptoms in check? Then get off the sugar roller-coaster! Now!
Anita Flegg, author of Hypoglycemia: The Other Sugar Disease, tells this story:
âEating sugar makes us feel good. I used to crave sugar constantly and I realized that I was addicted. That sounds extreme but I found that one sugary treat inevitably lead to another. What could I call it but an addiction?
These continual sugar ups and downs are very hard on the system and long-term sugar âabuseâ causes wear and tear on your body. As a result, you will probably feel tired, hungry, irritable and unable to concentrate.
The best way to feel better is to get off the âsugar roller-coasterâ. It’s not easy but the see-saw blood sugar level problem can’t finally be solved until your system gets used to being without the instant gratification of the sugar âhit. â
Knowing that I would feel sick by the end of the day was never enough to make me stop. When I was single, there were days when I ate nothing but cookies for supper â a whole bag of cookies!
Yes, I felt sick afterward. Did that stop me from doing it again? No. When I got home from work, I was hungry and my blood sugar level was low. Although I didn’t know it, I was reacting to low blood sugar.
Why didn’t the cookies solve the problem?
Each cookie made me feel better, but each sugar spike was followed immediately by a surge of insulin. The insulin would rapidly bring my blood sugar level back below what felt good so I would have another cookie. I didnât realize at the time that those were hypoglycemia symptoms. â
This is the danger of using sugar. When these cravings hit, the best thing to do is to eat a protein food â nuts, cheese, egg or meat. Protein foods break down slowly and the sugar is released into the blood stream slowly. No sugar spike means no insulin surge and no more cravings.
Consider “treating” your next sugar craving by eating a small amount of a protein food. Worth a try. . .
Eliminating sugar from your system has major benefits that make it all worthwhile. Your head will feel clearer, you will have more energy, and you will probably be much less irritable. Your family will appreciate it, too!
Here are some strategies for making the transition easier.
-Every time you have an overwhelming craving for something sweet, have a small protein snack. This is not a quick fix, and may not make you feel better right away, but it will help your body get used to getting slow release (rather than quick hit) foods.
-Try to engage your mind. Go out with friends, work on your hobby, go for a walk or to the gym.
-Find a buddy who will support you in your effort to quit sugar â someone you can talk to whenever you need some moral support and some reassurance that it will be worth it.
-Remind yourself over and over that you will get through this and, when you do, you will feel better than you have in years!
Remember, you are worth the effort, and when you are ready, you will be able to do it.
Here is yet another reason to cut sugar out of your diet. This comes from RealAge:
“A diet that includes an overabundance of foods that rapidly boost blood sugar, such as sweets or sugary soft drinks, may boost colorectal cancer risk, according to research. In a study, women who had an abundance of these foods in their diets had almost a three-fold increase in colorectal cancer risk. ”
Yet another reason to cut out the sugar in your diet.
Here’s a not-quite-complete list of sugars that may be lurking in food (in alphabetical order):
Barley malt or malted barley, Beet sugar, Brown rice sugar, Brown rice syrup, Brown sugar, Cane juice, Cane sugar, Cane syrup, Cane syrup solids, Caramel or Caramel coloring, Confectionersâ sugar, Corn sweetener, Corn syrup, Corn syrup solids, Crystalline fructose, Date sugar, Dextrin, Dextrose, Disaccharide, Fructo-oligosaccharides, Fructose, Fruit juice concentrate, Galactose, Glucose, Glycerin, Granulated sugar, Hexitol, High-fructose corn syrup, Honey, Invert sugar, Lactose, Levulose, Malt, Maltodextrin, Maltose, Maple sugar, Maple syrup, Microcrystalline cellulose, Molasses (all kinds), Natural sweeteners, Polydextrose, Powdered sugar, Raisin juice or syrup, Raw sugar, Rice syrup, Simple syrup, Sorghum, Sucanat, Sucrose , Sugar cane syrup, Syrup, Turbinado sugar, Unrefined sugar.
So, before you buy a snack food you think is safe because the list of ingredients does not contain the word âsugarâ, think again. I suggest you print this article, cut out the paragraph above and take it with you on your next trip to the grocery.
Buyers beware!

This is Nothing Short of Being a Miracle Food – Especially for People Dealing With Hypoglycemia
0The Miracle Food!
The food weâre talking about has different names, depending on who sells it. If youâre going to do an Internet search for it after youâve read this article, search for dehulled hemp seed, shelled hemp seed, hemp nuts or hemp hearts. We know it as hemp hearts.
Hemp hearts are the fruit of the cannabis sativa plant and are called ânutsâ. Hemp hearts are far more nutritious than even soybean â more on that in a moment â contains more essential fatty acids than any other source, is second only to soybeans in complete protein (but is more digestible in humans), is high in B-vitamins and is 35% dietary fiber. We like to think of hemp hearts as âThe Miracle Foodâ! Especially for people dealing with low blood sugar or hypoglycemia.
For many hypoglycemics, breakfast is the most challenging part of their hypoglycemia diet. You want to stay away from bread, sugary cereals, sweetened orange juice, etc. As youâll read in a minute, hemp hearts can solve that problem.
Nutrients, proteins, and fuel
Human tissues require nourishment every morning with slow digesting proteins, omega fats and raw, fiber foods containing vitamins and enzymes â essential nutrients â not starch, sugar and blended processed foods. Those who consume most of their essential nutrients each morning have all day to utilize any possible excess and can control weight easily.
Hunger is a signal that the body requires protein. Those who consume fruit and other foods without protein when they are truly hungry will continue to be hungry. Those who eat low-protein starches (cereals, breads, potatoes, pastas and rice â all are no-noâs for hypoglycemics) when their bodies call for protein will be hungry again in two hours. Those who use hemp hearts and other high protein foods to avoid starches are able to control weight by extending the intervals between their meals and snacks â without feeling the symptoms of low blood sugar.
Physical weakness is a demand for fuel. Those who fuel up with quick digesting sugars and starches will be weak again and will require fuel again soon. Those who use hemp hearts and other foods containing large percentages of slow digesting essential fats â instead of sugar and starch â do not require energy-boosting snacks and can control weight easily.
Digestive systems function best with raw, unprocessed foods that release nutrients slowly and continuously â especially if youâre on a hypoglycemia diet. The fibers in raw, unprocessed foods remain intact to tie wastes together so they are able to move with contractions through the digestive system. Those who consume hemp hearts will have no problem expelling wastes regularly.
Those who eat significant amounts of sugar, starch and processed foods inevitably become obese â or they cheat themselves of essential nutrients, causing progressive tissue health failure. Insufficient essential nutrients initially cause dry hair and skin, eczema and psoriasis. Later it may also cause arthritis and prostate inflammation. Insufficient essential nutrients eventually cause veins and arteries to lose their elasticity: unable to expand and contract with each heartbeat, hardened blood vessels do not assist the heart with circulation or keep themselves clean. Deteriorating blood vessels increase the possibility of stroke, aneurysm and heart disease and eventually result in premature health failure.
Hemp hearts are the most concentrated source of essential nutrients known. Those who consume at least four, but probably five, heaping teaspoons of hemp hearts every morning, preferably with fruit (like berries) and yogurt, notice from the first day that they have enough energy for the entire day, and that they are not hungry again until lunch time.
Those who âfuel upâ with hemp hearts early each morning have sufficient nutrients for tissue health, and sufficient energy for success and good mental health.
Those without excess weight who wish to âturbo-chargeâ themselves for amazing productivity and those who need to rebuild their bodies after serious illness can consume hemp hearts again in the afternoon. Sedentary individuals should avoid consuming hemp hearts after breakfast or they may have too much energy to sleep later.
Extra, Extra, Extra!
Here is some more great news and additional nutritional facts about hemp hearts â as if you needed more coaxing to go get a bag right now⦠For your information, hemp hearts:
-Contain more required amino acids (proteins) than milk, meat or eggs.
-Contain about 47% oil, 86% of which is Omega 3, 6 and 9.
-Contain ALL the essential and Omega fats required for human health.
-Contain several times more Omega 3 essential fat than any fish.
-Provide way more energy than energy bars â without their sugar and with less saturated fat.
-Are suitable for those unable to eat gluten, milk, nuts and meat.
-Are perfect for those avoiding carbohydrates â like hypoglycemics.
On top of all that, here is a short list of what else youâll find aplenty in hemp hearts: iron, calcium, sodium, vitamin E, vitamin C, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, vitamin B1, vitamin D, vitamin A, potassium, and phosphorus.
Buyers beware! Stay away from Hemp Protein and Hemp Flour. These products are made by grinding the wastes which remain after the valuable oil has been extracted from whole hemp seeds (hearts). They are mostly composed of indigestible shells.
Take the test
If you want to impress yourself or if you want to impress others with the amazing ability of hemp hearts to satisfy hunger and provide energy, we invite you to perform the following experiment: everyone knows that if they restrict themselves to any quantity of fruit for breakfast that they will be hungry again very soon â usually within an hour. We suggest that you eat five tablespoons of hemp hearts on top of a bowl of fruit (blueberries is our favorite) and yogurt for breakfast, because you will then certainly notice that you could easily go without food for many hours, at least till lunch for sure. You can also add hemp hearts to your favorite hot cereal or porridge. Those who begin their day with hemp hearts are nutritionally satisfied in a manner that is very unusual â if not amazing.
Bon appétit!
Eat well, be well, live well!
