stupid question right but what is it use i have ben under tornado warnings and it doesnt alert me. it asnt used druing 911, so what is its use. to wake u up at 3 am telling u the united states government is tracking a soviet nuclear missile evacuate ur town. all i see are a bunch of test that scare the crap out of me and nothing more. what could it be used for, beaucse after a major disaster no one will have electric to watch the tv.

We had an earthquake here in my town in California about 5 yrs ago. So..earthquake happens, I’m in the car. I turn on the radio and the dj at the local station says..oh whoa looks like we had an earthquake…went right back to playing music…no buzzer, no emergency broadcast system alert…My aunt visiting from new york starting laughing….she said” Wow they really are laid back in California!”
Keep in mind we have a nuclear power plant in our county and only one major freeway out (101)…so emergency broadcast system really didn’t help anything.

I’m going to London this summer with a good friend of mine and she has anorexia/bulimia. I just came to think of ‘ WTF can I do if something happens to her?! ‘ I mean, you never know what can happen to people when they’re weak like that.. So, my question is: Let’s say she faints or she just gets ill, do we have to pay a lot of money for her emergency treatment? Does anybody know the answer to this? Would be soo grateful!

Yes, she would have to pay for any medical care she receives. The “free” health care in the UK is for TAXPAYERS in the UK. She should check into travel insurance that has medical coverage.

Good question. I think on my own analysis that they would display the appropriate information based on the circumstances, including what to do in case of outages. If things were very serious, they won’t have a lot of time to talk. Hopefully, we won’t have to use it.

I used to as a paramedic in Rochester, NY, when I was in college work. As a student in graphic design, asked people what they even have an EMT means to do with the design. Currently I am shrugged his shoulders and said I loved it.

Most patients we have taken to the hospital had no money or family, and had all sorts of other issues. I had partners who yell at the drunk and ignoring the elderly were in nursing homes. I thought I had about an hour with each patient, so I better take him. I used to with those who are really angry to see challenge, if I could smile before they leave the hospital. I want to talk, ask questions and for each patient as if it were a member of my family to deal with. They were after all, someone on. Besides, if I treat every patient with respect and patience, it was much easier, the information I needed in order to get help, and the whole experience has become much more fun.
So, in retrospect, my work as an EMT that has really helped me when I would own my own graphic design studio finally ready. I still have to evaluate every new situation, gather the facts, make a plan and then my team of designers and I will work. I do not miss the flashing lights well.
