They tell you that you need a hearing aid, and you can help but think, Why has it happened that goal with me? Then they begin to tell you about hearing aids and the use of the terminology that’s all right tonnes over the head. Dont they know that you are in shock? How can you make an informed decision about anything if you know even know what they dont talk!?
There are hundreds of different hearing aids. It can be a very complicated world of technilogical conditions. Sometimes those of us that work with hearing aids can forget all the time how strange it may sound to you. To make matters worse, as the manufacturers call things by different names, so that they sound like something else. No wonder there is so much confusion!
I will try to unravel some of the secrets for you. If you down in order to get it, there’s really only a few terms that need to understand you. These features are those that are really important, and the model or style of hearing aid.
There are seven main styles of hearing aids: ITE, Half Shell, ITC, Mini Canal, CIC, BTE, and open ear.
In the ear (ITE) ITE hearing aids are the largest custom style of hearing aid, filling the bowl of the ear, and may have the most power and features available in the ear hearing aids.
Half Shell (HS) The Half Shell is a custom hearing aid that only about half fills the bowl of the ear. You are in a position to have much power and features, use a smaller battery, but are more cosmetically appealing.
In the Canal (ITC), the next smallest size of custom ITC hearing aid. Harder to see than the larger hearing aids, but not in a position to have as much power or as many features.
Mini Canal (CD) is less than the ITC hearing aid use, the custom mini-channel has a smaller battery and has even less power available. Functions can also be more limited.
On the Canal (CIC) The CIC is the smallest custom in the ear hearing aid, and very popular for its cosmetic appeal and ease of use. There is usually no manual to controls on a CIC by telephone use is often better because they are less likely to whistle. Lack of power is the main reason people use can not wear this type of hearing aid, although a small ear canal, you can can protect her, always one too.
Behind the ear (BTE) A BTE hearing aid sits behind the ear and is connected to your ear through a tube with a fitted ear mold. BTE hearing aids have the most power and features.
Open Ear (OE) and receiver in Canal (RIC) This hearing aid is a relatively new style of BTE made available in recent years and are much smaller than a traditional BTE. They are meant primarily for high-frequency hearing loss. The instrument is connected to your ear by a very thin tube or wire with a small headphone at the top. You will leave as an open ear, the ear canal because it less congested than other types of hearing aids.
Important Features:
Directional Microphones – These are available on most BTE, OE, ITE, Half Shell and ITC styles of hearing aids. They are the best feature you on your hearing aid for hearing in noisy environments, can have such as restaurants. That is, they reduce the noise, all stand behind you, so that in the way of sound that does stand in front of you. Directional microphones can automatically means that the hearing aid automatically determines when it is at once the volume in the room again too loud. Some are also adaptive, meaning that it can follow moving sounds, or reduce different sounds at the same time.
Noise Reduction – Noise reduction does not really reduce noise reduced and that they gain in the frequencies where noise and no speech. If there is a fan running in the background, the instrument does not strengthen as much as speech is. When the hearing aid is both speech and noise at a frequency, you still get both. The more advanced the hearing aid to better manage noise from the breaking of the frequencies up into smaller pieces.
Memories – There are two types of memories on a hearing aid, manual and automatic. Many hearing aids have a push button that enables your various settings (memories) for different situations such as quiet places, noisy places, and music or telephone. The hearing aid will beep when you press the button, so you know which memory you are using. Advanced hearing aids can memories are carried out automatically. Instead of pressing a button on the hearing aid is for you! Some hearing aids have a combination of both.
Feedback cancellation – Feedback (or the annoying whistling) is the number one compaint about hearing people have AIDS. Most hearing aid users experience feedback when they put their hands over their ears, or use the phone. Feedback cancellation to take and the amount of feedback (whistling), to hear you.
Bands / Channels – bands are what we use to adjust the volume in a hearing aid. More bands means more control, if we, the hearing aid to your hearing loss program.
Channels are used to adjust the portion of the hearing aid that keeps the sound always like this, too loud. Channels can also refer to the hearing aid noise reduction system. For noise reduction, more channels is definitely better because the hearing aid can break the sound into smaller pieces and isolate noise from the speech.
These are the most important things you understand about your hearing aid. If you really want the best hearing aid for you I suggest you say to the hearing professional what you intend to concentrate in your hearing aid services. Tell them what frustrates you the most and give them a better picture of how they can help you. Your goal is to help you to hear better, and when that happens everyone wins.

Multi Level Marketing Defined

There is a lot of misinformation out there about multi level marketing, and following the wrong advice could be costly, as it could scare you away from what is really a great business opportunity or it could lead you to invest in what turns out to be a scam. Your best bet is to understand what multi level marketing really is – and what it isn’t – so you can protect yourself and make an informed decision about your business opportunities.

First, consider a simple definition of multi level marketing. In essence, multi level marketing is not unlike a franchise system, except agents involved in multi level marketing generally operate outside of a particular location – like a chain restaurant – and instead do roving sales. In multi level marketing, a parent company has a group of products, and they hire individual representatives, “down stream” as it is typically referred to, to go out and sell those products. Often, the down stream reps purchase the products that the sell from the parent company, although in some cases they can receive stock up front and then split the profits. Down stream reps do not receive any kind of base salary. Their income instead comes in the form of sales.

You have almost certainly dealt with multi level marketing companies without even realizing it. If you have ever attended a party where a host gave you a spiel about kitchen equipment, make-up, lingerie, jewelry or some other kind of product, and then you purchased the product from the host, then you have seen multi level marketing in action. Typically, the people who host these parties receive a small amount of sample stock to show their guests, and then they collect orders, pass those on to the parent company and receive a portion of the profits from sales at the parties they have hosted. The share they receive and whether or not they had to pay for their samples differs from company to company.

Although many multi level marketing programs are entirely legitimate, there are ways these set ups can be exploitative. Most of these programs provide some kind of incentive for people to recruit new reps, but that opens the door for a pyramid scheme to develop. In a pyramid scheme, everyone makes their money by signing up new representatives to the company rather than for selling any products. If you are approached with a scheme that requires you to sign up new representatives and to get them to pay a join up fee, then chances are that you are dealing with an illegitimate multi level marketing plan that not only could end up costing you lost of money but that could also land you in jail.

If you keep an eye out for that important red flag, however, multi level marketing programs can be profitable and reliable ways for good sales people to make money.

Eczema Defined by One Who Has Been Cured and Helps Cure Others

0

I used to suffer from eczema, I have cured my own eczema, and I stay cured of eczema. I have helped others cure their eczema and continue to help others today. These are my qualifications behind my definition of eczema.
What is eczema?
Eczema is a disease. Eczema, the disease, is your own body’s way of temporarily relieving itself from whatever is really wrong with it. Your human body in its wisdom has to resort to this eczema method so that your vital organs remain undamaged and that your blood remains clean. Inflammation, eczema is a good thing. This is your immune system at work. Suppressing your immune system is wrong. The proof of this theory is that cured eczemas leave no scars.
The human immune system is wise and correct. All treatments must be geared towards working with and enhancing the immune system, never suppressing it. If you suppress eczema long enough, the body will be forced to form tumors to isolate toxins which should have been expelled as eczema.
The terms eczema and dermatitis are often used interchangeably to denote an inflammatory process in the skin. The term eczema is broadly applied to a range of persistent or recurring skin rashes characterized by redness, skin edema, itching and dryness, with possible crusting, flaking, blistering, cracking, oozing or bleeding. An eczema diagnosis can be made for something as trivial as a localized minor infection, some germ or parasite infestation, or something as systemic as blood toxemia.
Suppression of symptoms is a recipe for harm and great future damage. The usual medical advice will usually be to prescribe a cream, ointment, or pill that will suppress the symptoms by suppressing normal human immune system action. These items are usually steroids. These steroids give you the illusion of a cure by suppressing the symptoms. When you stop using the steroids, eventually the eczema returns. . . as it should.
In the light of this new information, we should even be thankful for the eczema for saving our life. But this cannot go on forever. The eczema condition cannot save our health for long. If a cure is not found soon, this may result in total body breakdown. We must now analyze the underlying reasons for the eczema.
Why is eczema itchy?
Eczema is itchy because there are toxins that are being expelled through the skin and your body wants those toxins OUT! Your body has called upon the help of your fingers to finally get the job done.
As we have defined, your body chose the skin to expel those toxins, the dirt, the poisons through your skin. The best we can do when this happens is to allow, to help this expulsion of toxins. You can do this be scratching, by dunking in hot water, by getting a clean absorbent cloth and absorbing the eczematic fluid. Do your best to help your body expel these toxins through your skin and you will feel itch relief.
The best way to finally stop itching is to fix your primary detox organs so that toxins are expelled through them instead of your skin.

Important Hearing Aid Terms Defined

0

You’ve known you’ve had a hearing loss for quite some time now and you finally get up the nerve to get your hearing tested. They tell you that you need a hearing aid and you cant help but think, Why did this have to happen to me?? Then they start telling you about hearing aids and use tons of terminology that just goes right over your head. Dont they know that you are in shock??! How can you make an informed decision about anything when you dont even know what they are talking about!?

There are hundreds of different hearing aids. It can be a very complicated world of technilogical terms. Sometimes those of us that work with hearing aids all the time can forget just how foreign they can sound to you. To make matters worse, the manufacturers like to call things different names, so they sound like something different. No wonder there’s so much confusion!

I am going to try to unravel some of the mystery for you. When you get down to it, there are really only a few terms you need to understand. These features are the ones that really matter, and the model or the style of the hearing aid.

There are seven primary styles of hearing aids: ITE, Half Shell, ITC, Mini Canal, CIC, BTE, and Open Ear.

In the Ear (ITE) ITE hearing aids are the largest custom style of hearing aid, filling the bowl of your ear, and can have the most power and features available for in the ear hearing aids.

Half Shell (HS) The Half Shell is a custom hearing aid that only fills about half the bowl of your ear. They are able to have a good deal of power and features, use a smaller battery, but are more cosmetically appealing.

In the Canal (ITC) The next smallest size is the custom ITC hearing aid. Harder to see than the larger hearing aids, but also not able to have as much power or as many features.

Mini Canal (MC) Smaller than the ITC hearing aid, the custom mini canal uses a smaller battery and has even less power available. Features can also be more limited.

Completely in the Canal (CIC) The CIC is the smallest custom in the ear hearing aid and very popular due to its cosmetic appeal and ease of use. There are usually no manual controls on a CIC, telephone usage is often better because they are less likely to whistle. Lack of power is the main reason people cannot use this style of hearing aid, though a small ear canal may keep you from being able to wear one also.

Behind the Ear (BTE) A BTE hearing aid sits behind your ear and is connected to your ear by a tube with an earmold attached. BTE hearing aids have the most power and features available.

Open Ear (OE) and Receiver in Canal (RIC) This hearing aid is a fairly new style of BTE made available in recent years and are much smaller then a traditional BTE. They are meant primarily for high frequency hearing loss. The hearing aid is connected to your ear by a very thin tube or wire with a small earbud on the tip. They are called Open Ear because they leave the ear canal less blocked than other styles of hearing aid.

Important Features:

Directional Microphones – These are available on most BTE, OE, ITE, Half Shell, and ITC styles of hearing aids. They are the best feature you can have on your hearing aid for hearing in noisy places, such as restaurants. This means they reduce all the sounds that are behind you so that it doesnt get in the way of sounds that are in front of you. Directional microphones can be automatic meaning that the hearing aid automatically decides when to turn them on once the sound level in the room gets too loud. Some are also be adaptive, which means they can follow moving sounds, or reduce several different sounds at the same time.

Noise Reduction – Noise reduction doesn’t really reduce noise, it reduces amplification in the frequencies where there is noise and no speech. If there is a fan running in the background, the hearing aid will not amplify it as much as it will speech. When the hearing aid finds both speech and noise at a frequency, you still get both. More advanced the hearing aids manage noise better by breaking the frequencies up into smaller pieces.

Memories – There are two types of memories available on a hearing aid, manual and automatic. Many hearing aids have a push button that allows you to have different settings (memories) for different situations such as quiet places, noisy places, and music or telephone. The hearing aid beeps when you push the button to let you know which memory you are using. Advanced hearing aids can have memories that are automatic. Instead of pushing a button, the hearing aid does it for you! Some hearing aids have a combination of both.

Feedback Cancellation – Feedback (or that annoying whistling sound) is the number one compaint people have about hearing aids. Most hearing aid wearers experience feedback when they put their hand over their ear, or use the phone. Feedback Cancellation will take down the amount of feedback (whistling) that you hear.

Bands / Channels – Bands are what we use to adjust the volume in a hearing aid. More bands means more control when we program the hearing aid to your hearing loss.

Channels are used to adjust the part of the hearing aid that keeps the sound from getting too loud. Channels can also refer to the hearing aid noise reduction system. For noise reduction, more channels is definitely better because the hearing aid can break the sound up into smaller pieces and isolate noise from speech.

These are the main things you need to understand about your hearing aid. If you really want the best hearing aid for you I recommend you focus on telling the hearing professional what benefits you want from your hearing aid. Tell them what frustrates you most and give them a better picture of how they can help you. Their goal is to help you hear better, and when that happens, everyone wins.

Home Decorating Ideas – Cottage Style Decor Defined

0

When you envision the perfect home interior ambiance does it include the adjectives simple, lightfilled, vintage and comfortable? If so, you might be a candidate for Cottage Style decor! You don’t have to reside in a literal cottage to incorporate this design theme into your lifestyle. The fundamentals of cottage style decor are not difficult to impplement and can be easy on the budget, too.

The color scheme you select should be light overall for most types of cottage style decorating. A healthy dose of white along with soft shades of green, pink, blue, yellow, aqua and rose will set the cottage tone. If your taste lends more toward a rustic cottage look, you may incorporate more golds and medium shades of green into your decor. Use these colors on your walls, and don’t hesitate to vary the colors from room to room. Keep the shades soft and light, and you can transition beautifully from room to room, keeping the cottage theme prevalent. Try using a deeper tone of one of your selected colors as an accent in the room. For example, if your color scheme includes soft blue, use a bit of navy blue in an area rug, an accent piece, in artwork, etc. Remember to use a light touch and it can make your room even more memorable while maintaining the soft, simple overall look.

The ideal floor treatment for this style of decorating is wood, and if you are into the time-worn look, use wood planking or distressing techniques to make newer wood look old. You can paint the floor, stencil the perimeter, stencil an ‘area rug’ onto the floor, or use area rugs, to continue the cottage style theme. If wood flooring is not an option, use light colored carpet or tile if possible, and anchor the main pieces with an area rug.

Furnishings can be handled in a couple of different ways. If you are looking for a little more elegance in your cottage style decor, you may decide to use new furniture and accessories, keeping the colors and wood tones light. You can use a mix and match of small fabric patterns on upholstery, pillows, table skirts and the like, and still maintain a clean and fresh overall look. The upholstered pieces should be comfortable and informal, with a ‘come sit in me’ look about them.

For those who really enjoy true vintage, and who may also have a leaner budget, flea markets, antique shops, garage sales, etc. can be great sources for cottage style decor. You may find an awesome antique door and decide to cut it down to use as a coffee table by adding legs to it. An old cabinet or nightstand can be converted into a unique bathroom storage unit. Feel free to paint any piece, using one of the selected shades from your color scheme. Look for vintage prints, fabrics, accessories, and anything that tickles your fancy, no matter what it is.

Cottage style allows for a mix and match of accessories, whether you are showcasing a theme of accessories or all pieces are unique. One caution as you create your cottage style look is to avoid overcrowding and creating a messy, flea market look to your room. Instead, opt for fewer pieces that are truly unique and have a presence of their own. You will be able to appreciate the beautiful wall color, unique floor treatment, furnishings and accessories without being overwhelmed by all of the ‘stuff’.

If you need to use your current furniture but want to change the fabric, slipcovers are a great way to do just that with minimal investment. Another budget saving option is to look for well-priced accent pieces and accessories at discount stores such as Homegoods or Target.

Cottage style window treatments are simple and informal. Wood shutters, plantation shutters, and wood blinds are always a good choice for areas that need privacy. If you decide to use fabric for valances or side panels, use an organic fabric such as cotton or a simple weave. Lace works well in this style if you are decorating on the more feminine side.

As you can see, there is not one right or wrong way to decorate Cottage Style. If you keep your selections to light, natural, vintage (real or reproduction), organic materials and colors, you can create your own unique Cottage Style home.
