Can some antibiotics cause severe heartburn and stomach cramps?

Was on a round of antibiotics (cephalexin) for a bladder infection. Did the meds quit halfway through because I got severe stomach cramps and terrible heartburn. I tried it with food, I tried it without food – no difference. One day, after I stopped, they stopped the stomach cramps and heartburn.

Does any1 know how to treat bloating and cramps without a pill?

Every month is really bad pain for me. Sometimes, the pills like Midol won’t even work for me and my parents won’t let me take a full dosage more than once a day. Pleeeeeeeeeeease let me know if you know about any remedies for cramps and/or bloating.

The Department of Veterans Affairs wrote to a Roanoke Veteran, saying it received a claim for menstrual cramps. Not only was the claim for fibromyalgia, the person submitting it is a man.
