will eating disorder clinics care if you’re a vegan?
4Question : will eating disorder clinics care if you’re a vegan?
okay so i’m a vegan and i am thinking about going to an eating disorder clinic to get recovery. anyways, i don’t want to have to eat meat or dairy. it’s not about the weight gain, it’s a part of my ethical foundation. i became a vegan wayyy before my eating disorder. will they force me to eat meat and dairy? i will eat other things to gain weight, just not meat and dairy.
wow, shayla, that was a very ignorant answer. when humans were first created, when they were the way God himself said was good, they were vegans. they didn’t eat meat. we can survive not eating meat or dairy. if you don’t eat the right foods when you’re a vegan, you’re going to have problems. but that’s YOUR fault, not being vegan. it’s not that you were a vegan that caused you bone problems, it’s that you were irresponsible and didn’t consult your doctor or take calcium supplements or eat food that had calcium in it. and your eating disorder- not because you were a vegan. you chose that path. and eating meat and dairy isn’t a magical fix for eating disordered vegans. it’s deeper than that, you retard.

The only people I know who are as obsessed with pretending to have anorexia online as you seem to be are morbidly obese women weighing between 350-450 pounds. Three superobese women I know personally hang around on pro-ana boards pretending to be anorexic because they mistakenly believe anorexia is a sneaky way of being thin without trying. They will type in how little they eat with one hand while stuffing down a second pizza with another.
I do think if you are obsessed with having an internet audience believe you to be thin, then you have some mental issues that need to be addressed, perhaps munchausen’s (by internet) and a psychiatric hospital would be a good idea.
