I have astigmatism but I find contacts and glasses a frustrating money sink. My vision is about 20/160, but I never wear corrective lenses. I am looking forward to laser surgery, but as a college student I have less than $ 2000 to work with. I understand surgery can be up to $ 5000 in the USA, but I’ve heard of prices as low as $ 1400 abroad. Does anyone have any cheap success stories?

there was a place in new york that was advertising to do it for $ 500 per eye – however i implore you not to contract work on your eyes out to the lowest bidder. you only get one set and more often than not you get what you pay for. Keep saving – the price will overall keep dropping.

I recommend Hosterbox.com (there site is still in progress) but they have been in the business for several years and hosted some of the most demanding sites on the internet like digg.com. Just e-mail them at support@hosterbox.com and they should get you an account up and running for very very cheap.
I have hosed a couple hundred sites with them for around 2 years now they are best I have ever been with.

I am really scared and don’t want to ruin my eyes. lol I live in the Inland Empire Area. Any advice would help. I am looking at The Laser Eye Center and TLC. TLC is way more expensive… is it worth it?
