Yes, I go to a weight loss clinic in Daphne Alabama. It has been a really good decision for myself. I can call them if I ever need help fighting the cravings, great support system. They prescribe a pill it is called Phentermine. I have lost 43lbs so far and still loosing. Please keep in mind that I am not just relying on the pills. I have changed my lifestyle completely. I have cut all proportions in half ( Which the pills help fill you up so this is possible). Also I wake up earlier so I kick start my metabolism. I try to work out 2-3 times daily. Yes it is hard but completely worth it. Check out those pills because they really work but they are not for everyone.

I am looking for a food addiction rehabilitation center located in the US that preferably takes insurance as payment. I have binge eating disorder and I am a recovering bulimic.
I realize that I will most likely die without treatment and would love it if any other kind souls would help me out with information regarding a treatment facility that may be right for me.

I am in my late 20s, so an adolescent-only treatment center wouldn’t work =(. Though, that would have been great if I had gone when this started! Ty anyway, love to have more answers.
There isn’t an OA in my area, but when there was I went and had minimal success. I need an in-patient or heavy duty out-patient treatment facility.

my parents really want me to stay out of a center for anorexia and take the out patient approach. however, we’re not sure if that will work. They are telling me that places like a clinic of center will make you eat dessert every night and eat a carb with dinner. my question is, what exactly is your daily meal plan at a place where you get treated for an eating dis order?? what food do they serve you?? i am concerned/curious. thanks in advance =]]

I’ve heard of clinics that has deserts on their meal plan, I’ve heard of clinics that doesn’t. It may also vary from individual to individual at the same clinic. However, even one clinic make you eat desert, and another doesn’t, it doesn’t mean you will eat less calories in one of them, they will just make you eat X amount of calories by serving you other food. There are also some clinics where you may have influence in deciding what type of food you eat. That doesn’t mean the amount, but more like if you want juice or soda, bread or yogurt and so on.
From what I’ve heard, bread and wheat products are common, as well as yogurt and fruit. For dinner it might be anything. The amount vary very much based on individual needs, and as I said, you might be able to influence the type of food you eat yourself.
