Has anyone here been to an Eating Disorder treatment center?
0Question : Has anyone here been to an Eating Disorder treatment center?
I have my first appointment at the a hospital next week and am scared sh*tless. I dealt with bulimia (bingeing/purging) for one year and now go back and forth between exercise bulimia and binge eating. Because I am no longer getting rid of the food I have gained about 20 lbs and I’m scared of facing this head on, dealing with my emotions, all the questions they are sure to ask me, and finding a way out of this. I know this is the right thing for me to do and I’m going to go no matter what but I was hoping someone else had been through this or gotten help from at ED treatment center. I really want to get better, just nervous about what they might ask me.
Thanks ![]()

i do because i dont eat anything, im never hungry.
i know your scared but try to be calm because they care about you and try to answer honestly. theyll ask you like how you feel and what you think before, during, and after you do it; when did you have these feelings and when did you start; etc.
has anyone ever been through treatment of an eating disorder?
2Question : has anyone ever been through treatment of an eating disorder?
i just got busted two days ago. my mom brought me down to the hospital saying i had an appointment, when really she brought me down there cause she thought i had bulimia. she was right. on monday i’m expecting a call from them to see about setting me up with a therapist, but i’m requesting i get into something like group therapy or something. i hate one on ones. i cant stand them. there’s no way i’d open up to some stranger….
so i’m wondering what happened when u got treatment for a disorder? what were u set up with? what r all the options? i dont want a one on one therapist…..
i’m 16 and have been bulimic for almost two years.

in group therapy you open up to the group about what ever your issue is. then you get feedback and support from the rest of your group. and depending on the group you may do activities or other things that just allow you to relax and be your self for a while.

hi, i personally have not been an inpatient, but I was a student nurse on a placement in a clinic with inpatients with anorexia nervosa.
If you are WILLING to help yourself, you will find the programs to be helpful. YOU have to make an effort, no one else can do it for you! Noone can force you to eat….you have to overcome your fear and do it…..the staff are there to help you…but you have to be open to the experience, listen to the counsellors, and talk to the other inpatients…they are all there to help! if you are NOT willing to help yourself, then I found that those inpatients were the ones that suffered, and frankly…it was a waste of their time, and a waste of the resources in the clinic!
IF YOU WANT TO GET THROUGH THIS…..you and only you can do it………and being an inpatient can certainily help with this!
Goodluck….
has anyone been to this dentist? Shervin Ahmadnia, DDS @ Forest Family Dentistry in Lake Forest, CA? Good?/Bad?
0Question : has anyone been to this dentist? Shervin Ahmadnia, DDS @ Forest Family Dentistry in Lake Forest, CA? Good?/Bad?
Were they good? Or bad? What was your experience like?
Thank you!
I have TMJ and my teeth are recovering from Lupus, which damages the enamel on your teeth. I need a dentist who is very good, and knows what they’re doing. And also takes Aetna Student dental insurance. I found good reviews on this dentist, but am worried because you never know if someone from the office wrote the reviews, or if it was actual customers.
Thank you!!!! <3

Hello..Three places usually keep records and will tell you any dentists work history. The State Dental Board, The County Dental Society and the Better Business Bureau. And sometimes you can check through your State Consumer Affairs Office, usually attached to the Attorney Generals Office. Good luck and I wish you well.

How to tell someone that you’ve been struggling with anorexia?
0Question : How to tell someone that you’ve been struggling with anorexia?
I have been E.D.N.O.S., which is basically anorexia (not going to go into detail; look it up) for almost 7 years, my body has changed a lot since I’d first started almost seven years ago. Either people never cared to notice, or didn’t want to notice.. that I never ate. But I’m ready to get help. I can’t afford a therapist or treatment; could anyone recommend any type help? And if you know of anything free/ low cost that’d be great.
- Lost 45 pounds, but managed to gain most of it back; lost 3 teeth, 2 rotted out and one had to be pulled because of bulimia too.

Not sure about where you live but around here there are therapists who charge by a scale. If you don’t make enough money to be charged they won’t charge but have to see you. I hope you decide to get some help. If you have someone close to you that you can tell, I would. My aunt was anorexic and died at an early age of 47. I was too young to know that she had a problem but now looking back I can see there was one. I guess the rest of the family was in denial.
If you tell someone close to you they shouldn’t be judgemental, if they are don’t worry about them. Find a support group or someone else to help you through.
Well, I live in the south so can’t recommend anywhere. Look in the phone book or use the net to find a place. Just type in mental health facilities and your city. It will bring some places up.
Has anyone ever been able to break a lease for office equipment?
0Question : Has anyone ever been able to break a lease for office equipment?
Company signed contract with copier company for 60 months. Copier company is bought out by new company and customer service has decreased to the point where the copier problems are recurring weekly (same problem). Contract just states length of term and that the company is obligated to pay for the full term of lease even if the machine is broken, non-working and etc.. There is no early termination clause. Is the lease contract still binding even though the company we originally signed the contract with has been bought out by another company

Can a NYS physician legally refuse to treat a child who has not been immunized on competent medical advice?
1Question : Can a NYS physician legally refuse to treat a child who has not been immunized on competent medical advice?
A woman recently moved into NYS, having lived in a state where her family physician advised against the routine immunization of her how-8-yr-old son on the basis of serious hereditary risks.
When the child developed an ear infection, she took him to a doctor who’d been recommended by a friend, and was surprised and upset when he refused to accept the child as a patient. She is aware of State Ed regulations requiring immunizations for school attendance, but since she home-schools the child, was not aware that obtaining routine medical treatment for him might pose a serious challenge.
Do State Laws and/or the Canon of Medical Ethics permit physicians to refuse treatment to children who have not been immunized in response to competent medical advice, and who suffer, e.g., a minor infection easily treatable with antibiotic therapy? Or does this leave his parents with the ER as their only health care option for him?

There has to be a doctor that will see him. You’d think anyways. She should call around to different doctors and ask them. I also think that doctors can do that. My daughters doctor wanted to do an EEG on my daughter and I refused it and now he may not want to see her anymore. I only refused the EEG because they wanted to put her to sleep to do it. When she got her MRI they put her to sleep and she almost died.
