Question : I want to have dental cosmetic work done but can’t afford it. What should I do?
My insurance does not cover cosmetic dental work, most do not. And, unfortunately I do not earn enough money to pay out of pocket and my credit will not allow me to finance this procedure. Any suggestions?

hey if you would have posted a picture of your teeth i could have estimated how much it would have cost. What you can do is go to Mexico to get your stuff done, its alot cheaper and some people prefer their work better than U.S. dental work, thats one possibility, another way if that you can apply for care credit, as long as you own a car(or something) your eligible, its a credit card(90 days of interest free and you can go with 5,6,7 month payment plan with interest levels really low) only for dental and medical uses, nothing else(no clothes, shoes, food, etc) and every dental and medical office accepts it(they pay what you owe and you pay them), your third possibility if to wait until i get out of dental school and i wont charge you much for “a killer smile”lol

I went through this myself when I was younger for about a year due to poor self esteem problems, and at the time I was too ashamed to tell anybody. It came to a point where I trusted my boyfriend enough to tell him and he helped me through it – in my experience i found that just having me friends there by my side and just letting me know how much they care pulled me through it!

How do I afford my diabetes supplies with no insurance?

Question : How do I afford my diabetes supplies with no insurance?
There has GOT to be some kind of program for students who have diabetes and go to school full time. I am not going to a regular university so they dont have medical aid. Theres no way in hell I can afford $ 150 a month for insulin and $ 200 a month for test strips or any of that. I was thinking about the everyone benefits program but that only pays a small percentage of the cost. Are poor diabetics just meant to fall over and die or what? I do not think so! What do all you other no insurance diabetics do out there to afford your supplies, any one know of anything at ALL that would help me?

Looking to go inpatient for an eating disorder but cannot afford costs. Any suggestions?

Question : Looking to go inpatient for an eating disorder but cannot afford costs. Any suggestions?
I am looking to go inpatient for an eating disorder and cannot afford the payment. I have insurance but I would rather not use that considering my parents will see it. I don’t need anyone telling me what to do other than advice on paying for this. Not to be rude but some people think they know everything.

I understand well your desire for your parents not to know about this. I certainly keep as much about myself private and away from my parents’ knowledge as possible. It speaks well of your sense and your courage that you are taking the initiative to get help. However, insurance is the only practical way to get your treatment paid for. Part of getting help is finding ways to deal with stressful problems, like dealing with your parents, and standing up to them when necessary, and detaching yourself from the things they say to you. So one thing you’ll learn while an inpatient is how to respond to your parents so that you’ll be able to deal with their telling you what to do, and cope with it. Therefore, I suggest you go inpatient, and then get help while there with ways to deal with your parents in addition to ways to treat your disorder.
Good luck!
