How do you fix your teeth without veneers?
Question : How do you fix your teeth without veneers?
I use to grind my teeth when I was little, so now the bottom of my teeth aren’t straight cause little parts are chipped. Is there anyway to fix it without veneers? I just don’t want to replace them after. Is there anyway to fix them permanently?
I’m not grinding my teeth anymore…

There is nothing permanent in dentistry. You can have resin veneers done which are much cheaper than porcelain veneers. You can have a re-contouring (re-shaping) done if it is just little chipped areas. One thing you need to be sure of is that you are still not grinding your teeth. If you are you will need a nightguard to sleep in to help with grinding.
Go to your dentist and have a consult done of the area you want to fix. Get several different suggestions. Don’t just settle for one way to fix the problem. You will need to know what the costs are as well. If you have insurance…it is unlikely insurance will cover any costs as this is all considered cosmetic.
Best wishes.
No restoration is “permanent”. You can get decay around any restoration – including veneers. You should talk to your dentist about your options. He/she may be able to use bonding to repair the damage. This is kind of like having white fillings done. You may also want to discuss a night guard for clenching/grinding – just in case you are still doing it at night. You wouldn’t want to damage your repairs! Good luck!
