How do porcelain dental crowns look on molars?
Question : How do porcelain dental crowns look on molars?
I got my porcelain crown for a molar and it feels okay, but it looks much bigger and wider than my other molars. Is this okay???? it almost looks like its making my gum recede a little because its very wide and big from the inside of my mouth.
i told my doctor this and he said that my gums will cover the crown later as i have it on!!

It was probably made a bit larger and contoured different than your original tooth was. You will get used to that in several days. As to the gum recession, keep an eye on it to see how it responds. Also make sure that the tooth isn’t sensitive along the gum line. Good luck.
