Question : What agencies would help mu buy a power chair?
I am disabled and have a problem getting around in my home. I want to be independent, but it’s extrememly difficult.

Start with calling DHS and Disability services to ask them for resources, or call dealers of adaptive equippment and ask them if they know resources. Good Luck.
Go to your local DHS or Medicaid Services and ask them if you qualify. If you are disabled and get a disability check then you are probably on medicare and the company who sells the power chairs will help you get the papers filled out to get what you need. I have known several people who needed one and qualified and got one quickly without any hassle. Good luck to you!
