what should i do about my percocet addiction?

Question : what should i do about my percocet addiction?
I am addicted to percocet. Whenever i have it it is the only time i feel like a normal person and I have great self esteem. I am worried though that whenever my mom needs to refill her bottle i start to crave it more and more. Are percocet addictive, and if so what should I do so I do not run out?

You should tell your doctor because yes they are addictive.

ok look straight up ill say this i did the same thing dont feel bad about ityou were curious anyways they are very addictive trust me i know but the only way to get them without breakin something or having cronic pain is to buy them now assuming your in high school this will not be hard ask around you can buy some usually 5 dollars a pill but trust me you will run out of money then you will have to suck it up cuz pain killers are fun they make you feel good but damit they are expensive and you cant keep takin your moms she will sooneror later notice then rehab yikes ya best to stop taking them but considering that you like the feeling ill give you this advise SMOKE WEED cheaper not the same feeling but still make you feel special good luck o also to everyone that says that you will die from this they are reterded cuz the only way you can is overdose so kid take as much as 3 when you start then when you get used to that addone untill you get to 5 no more then 5 cuz you can stop breathing if you over dose so dont risk it

First of all, get it through your head that you’re depriving someone else who has a medical need for them. If you care about you mom, leave her medication alone. I know that’s not enough to stop a physical addiction, if you’ve already developed one, but keep it in mind. Maybe you do need some help if you can’t cut loose of this on your own. Don’t speak to you mother’s doc, that might cause complications for her. If you’ve got your own, work with him/her. If not, is there a source at school or work that you can talk too? If not, you may have to go put some effort into finding a program (nobody said it was going to be easy) to deal with it. Don’t worry, there are plenty that are free or cheap

Just stop – I had a close family member who stopped and actually went into withdrawl – throwing up, couldn’t eat, diarrhea. It has to come out. Stop taking them. You aren’t in pain. Plus, the more percs you take the less they work. Then you need more and more just to get the same feeling. Trust me.

Just stop taking them. You are letting your body made decisions for you, your brain knows its not right.

Percocet is a narcotic and yes, it can be very addictive when it is not used properly and under the supervision of a doctor. Running out of the stuff should be the least of your worries. You are causing damage to your liver with all of the tylenol that is in them. Are you stealing them from your mother? If so, that is some bad karma coming your way. You need to seek professional help for the addiction. If not, you could end up in jail or dead. It is a felony to possess a controlled substance, like Percocet, without a legal prescription from your physician. And, if you get arrested and spend some time in jail, you are going to go through some hellish withdrawals, and the people at the jail are not going to care one bit how bad of shape you are in. Wise up and get off the Perc’s. You don’t need them so don’t take them. It is people like you that abuse these medications and make it hard for people with legitimate pain to get the relief they need. I have to jump through hoops with my pain management clinic for my medications and I do not abuse them, and unfortunately, will probably have to take them for the rest of my life because of a serious car accident earlier this year. Pull your head out of your @ss!
