Question : psoriasis?
i am 13 years old and when i was six i got strep throat which lead to psoriasis…then summer of 2006 i got strep again and got psoriasis again…but now i had a sinus infection like a month and a half ago and was taking ammoxicillin for it and it went away soon after…now a month and a half later i’m breaking out in what appears to be psoriasis, but on my neck &scalp only. any tips? and if it is psoriasis, how can i prevent it from spreading any further? i’m halfway through the school year and i dont want to get it any worse.

Are you sure it is psoriasis? Psoriasis is a genetic thing and I have not heard of antibiotics making it flare, tho I have not heard that they don’t either.

It sounds more like eczema which is pretty much either an allergic reaction or extremely dry skin.
There are links below to both conditions, but if it is related to a medication, it is most likely atopic (allergic) eczema. The good news in that case is that there are plenty of topical creams to treat it and it can be avoided in the future by letting your Doc know what you have taken that has caused it.
I usually end up with Betamethazone cream for mine and I find it works on SOOOO many other skin irritations that it is like a miracle for me. There is also some new stuff the doc gave me called Liquix (I think I remember that right) which is dispensed like a hair mousse and removes the itching in 24 hours
