I have had trouble with swollen gums and chronic issues with my teeth. I purchased this product because my dentist recommended it. Since purchasing product, my gums and teeth are in much better condition. I have seen a noticible improvement. I won’t be scared of the news at my next dentist appointment. I enjoy the “timer”. It helps me keep track of my brushing routine. I highly recommend this product.

This Oral B Triumph toothbrush is everything its marketers claim it to be. The toothbrush works exceptionally well at removing stains and keeping your teeth really clean. It only took me a short while to get used to the Smart Guide (it directs you where to start brushing and for how long to brush in each quadrant of the mouth). Since the timer is set for 30 seconds for each quadrant, you have to watch the Smart Guide to brush for 10 seconds on each surface of the teeth (outer, inner, and top) to keep pace with the timer when it directs you to move to the next quadrant of the mouth. Perhaps because I’m watching the Smart Guide, I’ve only had one extremely brief episode of brushing too hard, something that I was prone to do with other toothbrushes. I think it’s great that the toothbrush comes with 4 different brush heads (FlossAction, ProWhite, PowerTip [for brushing between teeth], and tongue scrapper). However, very few retailers (found only 2 on-line; none in stores) carry the PowerTip, and none are carrying the tongue scrapper. That’s why I only gave it four stars.

I’ve had the Sonicare as well as the Oral B and they are both great. This unit seems to be more thorough over the long haul whereas with the sonicare, I saw drastic results almost immediately. However, this could also be due to the fact that I had the sonicare first and was not used to the quality of the electric brushes yet. I am satisfied with the results of the Oral B. I can’t say that I prefer one over the other, although the Oral B has much better accessories.

Oral-B Triumph Electric Toothbrush with Smart GuideTHIS UNIT MAKES YOU WANT TO BRUSH YOUR TEETH. IT EVEN KEEPS TRACK OF HOW MUCH TIME YOU SPEND ON EACH QUADRANT OF YOUR TEETH. MAKING SURE YOU DON’T SHORT-CHANGE ANY. I’M 75 YEARS OLD AND STILL HAVE MY OWN TEETH. MOST OF THEM ANYWAY. ONLY WISH I HAD STARTED WITH THIS SYSTEM SEVERAL YEARS AGO WHILE I STILL HAD MORE OF THEM. IT EVEN HAS FLOSSING HEADS TO MAKE SURE YOU DO A BETTER JOB. MORE THAN JUST BRUSHING ONLY. MY FIRST WIFE (OF 54 YEARS) AND I BOTH LOVE IT.
