I bought this stuff in desperation one day, had a horrible headache, had taken several OTC meds and nothing was working. I just wanted to go home and go to bed, but that was not an option. As a last resort, I decided to try HeadOn, thinking I had nothing to lose but a few bucks, and, hoping, million-to-one, it might work. IT DID. I could not believe it. IT WORKED! I use it often, it nearly always works for me. The extra strength (blue) is the best. Migraine formula does not work for me. I don’t know how this stuff works, but it does. I was very skeptical, but now I keep it in my purse at all times. Great stuff.

For me this product really really really works and its not all in my head.

You simply must try this.

I don’t know enough about homeopathy to know if “extra-strength” means that there is more or less of the active ingredient. Thinking about it gives me a headache. I think “extra strength” means less medicine, because the central tenet of homeopathy is that the more one dilutes a substance the more medicinal power it acquires. So look for the “maximum strength” Headon, which will presumably have no ingredients whatsoever.

The fact of the matter is that Headon is just wax and menthol. If that cures your headache, more power to you, but then you might as well try Vicks Vaporub Ointment – 6 Oz or a bag of frozen tater tots, which will be both more effective and fun to eat.

If your headache is not caused by tension, then nothing you apply directly to the forehead or anywhere else will work. Most headaches are vascular, and migraines are caused by cortical spreading depression. Wax and menthol do not enter the bloodstream or brain, even when mixed with “extra strength” homeopathy.

Another disappointing aspect of this product is that it has nothing to do with Topper Headon, who played drums on the Clash’s seminal album London Calling. I would not recommend either product for headache relief.

I have cronic headaches and am tired of pills and more pills. Head On makes my headaches less painful. It is similar to lying down with a cool washcloth on my forehead, except I can keep going.

It probably won’t take the pain away, but it does make it better!!

I’m always fascinated by the reviews for HeadOn. They almost always fall into one of two categories:

- “I’ve used this product and it’s awesome!”

- “I haven’t used this product, but I’ve looked at the ingredients. I don’t understand how it works, therefore it must not work and I’m giving it a bad review”

Very few are the reviews that say “I’ve used this and it doesn’t work”. People, TRY IT before you give it a bad review!

I’m a frequent migraine sufferer. It’s my curse in life. Some days, I wind up taking more Excedrin and Motrin than I care to admit. And the prescription migraine meds? If they work, they give me rebound migraines the next day.

When the painkiller pills aren’t working, HeadOn comes to the rescue. It’s the extra edge I need to either get me through the day, or help me get to sleep. I swear by this stuff!

HeadOn isn’t an analgesic or anti-inflammatory like your usual over the counter painkillers. Instead, it creates a cooling tingling sensation which helps to mask the pain and provide relief. It’s safe to use with other painkillers. Spread it over your forehead generously (be careful not to get it in your eyes!!). After a moment or two, you’ll feel it kick in. The cooling tingling begins, and the pain fades to the background. It’s a lot like putting an ice pack on your forehead, without having to actually hold an ice pack.

If you doubt it, just try it. Get a stick. Try it. If you don’t like it, fair enough. Leave a bad review then if you so wish. But if you haven’t tried it, you don’t know.

As for me, any product that can help me live with my migraines is worth its weight in gold.
