Bipolar Disorder is a chemical imbalance in your brain. no amount of exercise is going to fix that. My father is bipolar, and everyone who knows him can tell the minute he is off meds. Talk with your doc.Maybe you can get some free samples, or get the name of the drug company. Many companies have a program to help people with no money get their meds. Please don;t go off your pills if you can help it. Do you remember how it was before you were medicated? And, most meds you cannot just stop taking, you have to titrate down with the dosage, and gradually go off. Good luck!

You need to be on your medication. Contact your local MHMRA (mental health mental retardation association) . It should be listed in your phone book. They will have programs available to assist you with obtaining medication at little or no cost depending on your income.
Trying to control your moods without medication is useless. When you are in a manic state, you won’t be aware of the poor judgment and poor impulse control that you will experience. This will lead to problems that you don’t want to have to deal with.
You can also call 1-800-784-2433. They have trained counselors available 24/7 who can help you find resources in your local area.
Good luck and remember you are worth the time, energy and money it will take to treat your disorder for a healthy future.

Bipolar disorder is a form of severe depression. Just 6 months back I also suffered from chronic depression(to be precise it was 10 years old). I overcame this condition through the use of Omega-3 fatty acids and avoiding trans fats completely. It will cure you within 100 days of including the OMG-3 oils in your diet.
At least they cured my condition. For more information and medical reviews of omega-3 visit the link given.

Overcome it with physical exercise. Run alot, or swim alot, or do something that is very repetitive a lot, such as those two activities. Perform breathing patterns (in in out out) to create a mental exercise as well. I am a firm believer that most mental and physical conditions can be overcome with willpower and hard work.
People went thousands of years without meds and seemingly did just fine. I’m sure you can do the same. Mind over matter.

I believe bi-polar is a disorder that needs to be medicated with. Consider the disorder like diabetes. Would you go without insulin? My mother got her lithium stolen once from our mailbox. She went without lithium for days and it was a nightmare. It was like living with a deranged woman. If you have a diagnosed mental health condition there are avenues to help you with you medication. As a last resort, you can check yourself into a hospital and say you are symptomatic. This is drastic but manic depression is nothing you can skip medication with.

Set up an appt at your local mental health dept. They have services based on ability to pay. There also are patient assistance programs offered by manufacturers. Go to their websites. Depending how much money you have, it might make it possible for you to continue meds until you do have coverage.
For most with bipolar, there is no effect med free way. I’m fairly certain that I’d be dead within a year w/o the medication I take. If you are looking for work and to establish a life, it will go much more smoothly and meaningfully if you are not manic or wanting to die.
