Is there a pedometer to measure distance or activity when I use my scooter Trikke three wheels?
Is there a pedometer to measure distance or activity when using my three-wheeled scooter Trikke? Looking for an inexpensive way to measure my “progress” Look at my new scooter with three wheels used for fitness. He is straight as a razor / Trikke. . . NOT recumbent or reclining position three wheel tricycle for adults. Suggestions?
No, it shouldn’t measure distance accurately at ALL. Every pedometer I’ve seen works on the principle that you set your stride, entering the actual distance you move when taking a step, and then an internal little switch of some sort is activated to measure one step every time you take one, working on the principle that you move up and down slightly when walking, and some sort of little ball moves up and down, hitting the switch with every step and recording the set distance. Since it works this way, it would likely not register distance with any sort of accuracy on any kind of a vehicle. They have odometer type mini-computers you can attach to a bicycle that work on the principle of knowing how far you’ve traveled when a wheel makes a complete revolution, triggered by a magnet attached the spokes and a magnet attached to the frame. When they pass each other, it records one revolution which you enter as a set distance, thereby recording your distance traveled very accurately. Try a bicycle shop, they should be able to help you! Good luck! =D
