Is it possible to have a cholecystectomy if you have rheumatic heart disease? What are the chances?
My brother in the Philippines has a rheumatic heart disease for two years and the doctors, it has recently found, cholecystitis, Im just worried because the doctors, the gallbladder should be removed.
It would all depend upon the condition of your brother’s heart at the time of his surgery. His surgeons would have to make the decision on the grounds of whether his heart would be able to endure the stress of major surgery. I feel for you it is a hard thing to go through for everybody involved.
