Orthoses are individually or insoles for comfortable running?

The custom stuff can vary quite a bit. There are some expected for athletic use that are usually less “aggressive” and some that aren’t. You’d have to ask at whatever location you’d be looking to have them done.

One of the more popular standard insoles — the Superfeet green — is actually fairly hard and stiff itself. Though it doesn’t work for my own feet (too much support for me), many people find it does what they need and get adequate cushioning via their shoes themselves. (Indeed, if you have too much cushion in your insole/shoe, the lack of support can even start leading to midfoot problems like plantar fasciitis.)

For what it’s worth, most people are plenty satisfied with the standard insoles that are out there and don’t need the customized ones done, or at most use the standard ones that you yourself can heat mold to your feet. I’d make sure the usual offerings aren’t going to work before going the full-blown custom route. Most running stores have a selection you can try in-person, and most athletic insoles they’d offer come with unconditional 30-day (or more) guarantees so you can try them out over time.
