Well.. coming from an adolescent drug USER, not abuser, I do them because of boredom.. I want to experience new things in life and I want to have fun too.
Drugs let me do both and they are just one of those things that there’s always more to it. Like you experience one and then you want to keep having new ones to keep those new experience and feelings coming.
It’s like a mystery before you’ve actually tried it. You hear stories and things and then the day finally comes…

Good question. I agree with what you have said. I think it mainly would have to be peer-pressure and the need to conform to what a person’s friends are doing, the need to prove oneself. I think curiosity is a good proposal, being mesmerized with the visual and other psychotic effects. Also could be for rebellious tendencies, like against one’s parents say. Mainly I would say peer-pressure and conformity.
