A 6-year-old girl from Cuba has been flown to South Florida to receive care for an aggressive form of bone cancer that has forced doctors to amputate her right arm to prevent it from spreading. Laura Mendez is one of only two Cuban patients who have been granted permission to travel to the U.S. for medical care in recent years.
