Question : Is AIDS a disability according to the CA State Insurance Code? (disability aids) Best answer: A diagnosis alone, isn’t enough to make you “disabled”. The definition of “disabled” also includes you having an inability to DO something. If you are perfectly able bodied, you are not disabled, despite whatever your “diagnosis” is.

Yes. I still believe giving the option to buy insurance from a private company or from a public one will make everyone better including people who buy from the private company because they do not trust the government.

I support reform that would do something about the outrageous cost of health care in this country. We may have the best health care, as some keep insisting, but what’s the use if the average American can’t afford it or the insurance premiums? People like me end up at Urgent Care not the Mayo Clinic.

I still want it. Then again, I actually am informed about what the whole health care reform agenda is, and that its not just not about a public option for the millions of uninsured people out there or the millions who declare bankruptcy due to medical bills, or the billions in wasted resources for the current program.

Depends on where you get your news. A lot of people still support health insurance reform. 62% in Kansas. If the insurance companies are unwilling to work toward reform – then the government will step in.
The insurance companies are spending $1.4 MILLION A DAY fighting reform. It is in their best interest to keep the status quo – not in the interests of the average citizen.

Yes i do and i will give you some reasons why i support the public option.
1.The Public Option will create a safety net for people who are laid off being as most people get coverage through their employer.
2. When health insurance is mandated like car insurance it will prevent people with insurance from having to pay for people without insurance.
3. The public option will put competition in the insurance market the insurance companies have a monopoly in the market.
4.People with pre existing conditions who normally couldn’t be insured by private insurance companies will be covered under the public option.
5.Pregnantcy is counted as a pre existing condition with a the public option pregnant mothers will be covered and so will their baby.

Some do, some do not. More would if they knew the facts though. Saying that, ‘Blue Dog’ Democrats are unlikely to change the stance they have against it while there is a chance that they can be voted out of office.
I am always amazed how many Americans seem not to be aware about the real healthcare issues relying instead on FOX and other sources to spread lies about the healthcare system of the USA and those abroad. I mean, if healthcare in nations with universal coverage is so bad, why do they keep it?
Obama wants to make insurance more available to all and change the system so that it gives the American people value for money [1]. He also wants change so that the insurance companies find it harder to get out of paying for treatment. The system he is proposing looks similar to that which works in Taiwan where private companies are involved in providing healthcare [2].
Obama campaigned on reforming the healthcare system. He said he wanted to make insurance more available and he was elected by the American people to do this [3].
FACT – the US has higher death rates for kids both for kids aged under one and those under five than western European countries with universal health coverage [4,5].
FACT – American insurance companies push up prices and work to stop paying out claims on those they cover [6].
FACT – the USA spends more on healthcare PER PERSON than any other nation on the planet [7].
That means that a dead American four year old would have had a better chance of life if they were born in any western nation with universal health coverage.
If you do not like the policies that Obama was elected to bring in, he can always be voted out of office in 2012. But if you disagree with the facts, please let me know. I am always willing to learn, but please provide proof. None of those who disagree with me have been able to do that so far.
