The only thing that is “so great” about it is as a result of it, EVERYONE will have some form of health coverage by default (perhaps something like Medicare) and as a result, no-one will be dumped out of a hospital like this; http://articles.latimes.com/2009/apr/09/…
Each time this happens and the hospital get caught, that’s another $1M to $2M that goes to lawyers instead of real people…

People who say it is bad do so because they are selfish.
The US health care system is not effiencient. It is good if you have the money to pay for it. It is bad if you cannot.
A nation needs poor people to be healthy, so they can work, and therefore help the richer people.
But even the rich pay far too much, they have to pay inflated pharmacuetical prices, because these companies can charge what they like, the insurers will pay out because they know the money is coming for the people, and don’t actually care. So one point for the parmacuetical companies, no points the people.
Then you have to pay the insurers to decide how you should be dealt with, to make a whole industry that is totally unnecesary, making people rich while the people suffer. One point the insurers, no points the people (two points the rich, none the poor)
Selfishness is the reason why empires fail, and the US is failing because of complete and utter greed from the richest people who are telling those underneath how bad socialism is.

Nothing is even good about it. The politicians already know that and refuse to even consider it for themselves. They want real health care.
