Why Is Government Run Health Care The Only Option?
I want to know why so many people thing government run health care is the only option to solving health care problems.
I just don’t trust the government. Everywhere you have government run health care, you hear stories of rationing, etc. Why would we want this?
I am against, but am willing to listen to legitimate arguments.

It is not — do not confuse the propaganda by the administration and the liberals with what can be. There are other options – revamping the current system is one example.
You are correct not to trust the government too much. The bureaucracy has never had much success in managing such a program to the benefit of anyone except themselves. They feel that the more paperwork and confusion they create, the safer they are in their jobs.

Has anyone realized that with the government running this fiasco, that all of our records will be available to them? Is this what we truly want?

The left thinks the government should run everything.

And I don’t trust a health care system that finds out it is more profitable not to give me coverage for life-saving surgery or treatment.
We need reform. ‘Nuff said.

No one–including Obama–is proposing that the government run all health care. Obviously, it’s not the only option.

Government is always the only solution to every problem when dealing with liberals. The liberals do not understand the concept of freedom and choice (except when it comes to murdering infants)

Obama is not FOR Government run health care. He is for UNIVERSAL health care. Which only means that everyone is covered. Government run health care is only one option to achieve that goal. Not the only one.

I don’t believe it is government run. It is single payer, which is not for profit. Costs would go down dramatically. US insurance agencies are the most profitable agencies in the country.

That’s their only solution because they want more power and govt. control over the people. Instead of a free market where everyone gets the BEST medical care available. They claim they want to help cover those who have no insurance, but instead of the govt. doing everything to tell these people that they don’t need to work, and saying we’ll pay for it for you, it enables these people to be lazy, and those who do work hard and pay taxes have to foot the bill for those who sit on their butts with a hand out.

You only hear of stories of rationing by those who oppose it. None of which are true. Will I trust the gov’t over insurance companies to show compassion? Naturally.
If you don’t like the availability, you can always buy it privately or buy a supplement.
I don’t know why some wish it to be so complicated…
