Question : Is AIDS a disability according to the CA State Insurance Code? (disability aids) Best answer: A diagnosis alone, isn’t enough to make you “disabled”. The definition of “disabled” also includes you having an inability to DO something. If you are perfectly able bodied, you are not disabled, despite whatever your “diagnosis” is.

We pay federal taxes, and we want them used for healthcare, instead of blowing billions a month in Iraq on some fake war dreamed up by Cheney. That’s why. Or, the Republicans could give us those 8 years of taxes back, and we’ll create our own. Thanks, I’ll be waiting for that check.

Because that would be following the constitution. Can’t have that now can we.

Because the President wants to make it on the national level.

Considering the 10th ammendment it SHOULD be a state issue. But apparantly we have the smartest 437 americans ever running the country. So why would they need to follow the constitution!

Because too many states are run by conservatives who would happily let Americans continue to die of easily curable (and preventable) diseases while singing the praises of their loving and charitable god jesus.

Democrats don’t push for their own state to do anything because it is republicans who believe in less federal government and more state government, but anymore, who can tell the difference???

Because we have power-hungry Marxists in office that want centralized power, and even a NWO.
Following the constitution would be exactly the opposite of democrat’s desires. Obama should be impeached!

For a liberal Democrat, it’s much more fun to control ALL of the people.
Mark my words, if the public option passes.. they will “legislate behavior ” all in the name of controlling costs

States rights ended the minute Obama put his hand on the bible in front of the capitol dome in Washington, D.C. back in January. It is dead as long as he’s President and Reid and Pelosi run Congress.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but the way things are isn’t really working. Republicans agree with that as much is Democrats, and they all agree action on a national level is required to make a real difference

Because it’s too big of an issue, States are not responding.
It’s like “ending the fed”. It’s naive and unrealistic to think that the country can continue to grow, get more complex and globalized and not have a central bank.

Because NO state government in their right mind would want it.
First it would raise taxes on those that innovate, second it would draw those who don’t contribute to the state.
All in all you’d have state(s) that would lose business and gain dependents.

Comrade Obama and his anti-constitutionalist party are dead set on grabbing more power to control the people. They are pandering to a very small crowd to try to ensure their reelection. They have never read the Constitution of the United States and have no concept of “limited government”. Since health care is never mentioned in the Constitution, you are correct. It is a matter left to the states to decide. But, all of the states that have adopted socialist medicine or mandatory insurance programs have all seen costs rise and service drop until the taxpayer force-funded programs quickly go bankrupt.

it should be a state or local issue after all the feds can’t even run the post office! They have massive fraud under medicare so why do they want to try their hand at still another health care system when they cant handle it now! God Bless
