It depends on who you are working for. Health benefits vary from employer to employer.

Depends on who your employer is. Normally as a nurse ( a respected tough job) your benefits (vacation, health insurance and retirement) are substantial. Your employer will pay a specific amount toward your Health Insurance and that will normally pay for all your coverage if you are single.
In the next 10 years the US will need another 50,000 nurses so there are certainly plenty of job opportunities down here.

Employee benefits depend on the good graces of the employer. Each one is entirely different. Most people pay about 1/3 of the premium each month, anywhere from about $175.00 to $300.00 for the family plan, and the employer pays the rest of the premium. I have not heard in a long time of anyone without a co-pay for every doctors visit, so plan on about $20.00 per office visit, Rx meds are tiered in most plans, co-pays are usually $10, $15, $20 or even $30 or more for a 30 day supply. There is never a guarantee of eye care or dental with any plan, usually that is an option the employee can elect if offered by the employer.
I am not familiar with anyone who gets free care through their employer anymore, (although there might be someone out there) just about all Americans must pay those sums every month and the employer picks up the rest. the rates go up a bit every fiscal year, and employers will usually change plans (provider companies) nearly every year. You will receive a list of physicians that are approved by the insurance company that the employer has selected.
You might want to consider staying where you are if our President is not successful.
