What type of invisible braces are there or any teeth straightening procedures ?
Question : What type of invisible braces are there or any teeth straightening procedures ?
My teeth are somewhat gapped and I was wondering if there are any teeth straightening procedures that I could have done to fix them and how much it would be. If not are there such things as invisible braces and how much are they ?

Invisalign, does not work great.
Clear braces
Or lingual braces, very expensive
The fee for conventional braces is the same with or without insurance.
1. Total cost varies from $ 4500 – $ 6000, depending on which practice you go to.
2. The monthly payment can vary from $ 300 – $ 500, again depending on :
a) How many visits per month (usually 2)
b) how much the total cost you have been quoted
c) how much money you pay upfront
d) how many years of treatment required
e) A total of how many visits are required to complete the treatment
3. All of the above mentioned apply for Invisalign. The cost can be around the same range or even a little higher because it does involve series of impressions and trays. That means a lot of labor, material, and lab fees.
4. The smart thing will be to get a consultation, get a quote and shop around.
However, you want to go to someone who knows what he / she is doing !!
5. Conventional braces are covered up to the age of 16 or 18, depending on the insurance policy.
Invisalign is not because it is still considered an elective / cosmetic procedure that you can do without.
However, it shouldn’t hurt to find out from the insurance company.
6. Lingual braces are tricky. You need skilled dentist to place those.
The animation below will show you how teeth move with braces :

Lingual braces have to push the teeth through the bone as opposed to mostly pull those through the bone with conventional braces.
As a result the treatment time gets prolonged.
For all these reasons the cost is higher.
7. Ceramic braces look much better, but the cost at least $ 10 – $ 15 more per tooth :

These also get stained very easily and then look ugly. So, you cannot let anything that might stain those (like koolaid, etc.) in your mouth for long.
Good luck !!
