Question : Do you think it’s best to take up a Medical Assistant program at a junior college or a technical school?
The reason why I ask this question is because I posted a question up a few minutes ago on yahoo answers about spending $ 13,000 to go to school to become a MA and alot of people from yahoo answers told me that paying $ 13,000 for a Medical Assistant program is a rip off. I feel like this school is my only other option. All of the community colleges here where I live offer this program in daytime when I have to be at work, and I can’t afford to quit my job. Can anyone else offer me some advice on what I should do?

Going to a CC would save LOTS OF MONEY. I attended one when I was a fresh/soph and saved about 80% on tuition for the same classes (your basics). I grad. with my BA Psych and would always reccomend CC to anyone. They are more realistic and down to earth in how they treat students

Question : Can i go to school for dental assistant and work for orthodontics?
I was just wondering, if i went to school for dental assistant, if i’d have to do something extra or different to work in orthodontics? I asked the receptionist at my dentist office, but she was no help. Thanks!

You don’t have to.You don’t even have to go to school to be a dental assistant. You can be trained on the job. It’s much better to go to school to become certified, but not needed in all states.

So you could also be trained work with braces.

You can call up the Customer Service of specific insurance that you have through Medicaid and ask for a dental provider list.

Then choose the provider that you want to go to from the list of the participating providers.

I am in college studying to be an MA (Medical Assistant) and I see they don’t make very good money, about 11-13 dollars an hour.
Is that going to go up any time soon?
If so, how much?

Did the doctor honor your request?
I had four births without an electronic monitor, but it was difficult to find a place that would allow it.
Statistics show that the electronic monitor does not lower the infant mortality rate, but it triples the c-sec rate. That was why I did not want one.

Nope, i live in Miami and i researched 3 hospitals in the area and they all make you wear a fetal monitor, it sucks but it’s required down here.

I like it, except that they lie to the addicts but all these other shows? Come on . They’re STAGED? Intervention deals with LIFE and DEATH. You can’t get more “reality” than that. If I had to pick a favorite reality show it would be this one b/c it is REAL! I might be on it someday for my eating disorder.

I would say so. My mom used to work for a place called Calvary. It was a rehabilitation center and she was asked to be on the show as one of the therapists but she declined because filming was on a saturday :(

I can’t tear with my front teeth as much as before. Only when eating things like corn on the cob and BBQ ribs. It’s not like I eat those things that much anyway, but when I do I tend to cut them off instead of nawing away. I might be overprotective, but that’s what I do.
