Question : Metformin – Type 2 Diabetis and weight loss?
If you have been diagnosed with Insulin Resistance Diabetes and are taking Metformin: What is your dosage, how many times a day do you take your dosage, do you take it before or after a meal, how much weight have you lost, how long did it take for this weight to come off, do you experience dehydration due to the diarrhea it can cause, does this side-effect cause hemorrhoid flare-ups, have you combined your medication with any life style changes?
I would like to know if there is any validity in the weight-loss claims people are putting on the internet regarding this drug.

my daughter has metformin for her insulin resistance. but the main thing she was told to do was exercise and diet. a very, very nutritious diet that gives her the strength to do the exercise. the only thing she has to cut down are carbs and no sweets. i will give you her programme if you want. my dietician said magnese works as well as metformin.
