what is reasonable compensation for egg donation?
Question : what is reasonable compensation for egg donation?
i am an 23-year-old bride-to-be and i need to pay off my credit card bills before i can comfortably start planning my wedding.
i have read several government-issued articles on egg donation about the side-effects/physical issues/what it entails… i just want some more advice about it.

I am about to donate my eggs for the first time. The guidelines are between 5k-10k, but there is no legal cap. If you have a graduate degree and are attractive, you’ll be on the high end, probably 10k for a first time donor. If you are a successful donor you can except more. 6500 seems to be average, but I think 8k is fair and not that hard to come by. As far as the side effects go, you have to give yourself injections, which can be hard and abstain from sex for over a month. I had a friend who went through the process and had headaches and moodiness. Basically, a bad case of PMS for three or four weeks. The compensation shouldn’t be your sole motovation or you will be let down. Good luck!
(My compensation is 10k, with a generous stipend for travel and time)
